    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Shortly after I saw that post early this morning I responded. If someone has real issues then send me a pm. Stop assuming! I am done with this post and really don't care anymore if anyone else gets ripped off by this guy. Now I know why all the big time and small time breeders turn a blind eye. They don't want to deal with the BS and backlash that comes along with it. Good night and God bless! Much success to all.

If the first quote is true, then the amended location in your profile must be inaccurate. If the second quote is true, your initial denial is completely nonsensical. All in all, I think you've clearly been dishonest, and I don't think you have much credibility. You may not be on par with what Manny Frade does, but trying to cover up your own shady activities probably won't win you much support from those who do choose to abide by regional regulations, even though they may hate to have to do it.

You may be right (You often are:))

But it is possible that the ultimate collapse of this deal was not related to the issues discussed, but instead was a risk assessment by Manny: For the first snake/refund, maybe the wrong snake deal was all there was to it.
However, there was a second refund, and it appears to have happened after the OP who is quite verbal, started talking to another customer and publicizing the deal.
Why wouldn't Manny want a lot of talk?

I don't keep up with Manny's legal problems but if there are any pending court dates, or any legal attention being focussed on him at all, he may not want others to read about how he is selling and shipping snakes to areas where they are not legal.
As far as a fact check, OP, why don't you show the shipping label and delivery address. If it was shipped to NYC, that is relevant to my theory.

Also funny how you suddenly changed track on the point you was desperately trying to make that location is not relevant to suddenly "oh i dont keep them in NY".
Wonder after reading the rules you decided that was the case that might best fit your arguement?

Whatever as I have said , having an attitude attack to people on here is just NOT going to help your cause in any way whatsoever

My bad, I misunderstood what "Community Control" meant in the case history. I guess that's a polite way of saying "behind bars".
 
I'm not a Lawyer but I think "THE PERFECT PREDATOR" got house arrest.

Community control is a sentence. Just as jail is a sentence. Community control is jail at home. Community control is an alternative to prison in felony criminal cases. A prison sentence can be coupled with a sentence of probation after the prison portion is completed.
 
Update! Manny Frade is still a crook! Simply looking out for all those new comers in the hobby. Watch out for this scammer.
 
Manny will always and forever be a crook! Those that ride with and for him should really cut ties. You all know who you are. Big time names too. They all need to cut this crook off and stop trying to make money with him. You will get burned eventually!

Unfortunately, he will never make things right. He is the lowest form of scum. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting to get reimbursed. If I was robbed of 30 G's, I would've lawyered up a long time ago. He's not just gonna hand it over. He's THE PERFECT PREDATOR!
 
Manny Frade has been robbing people for a long time,all we can do is talk to others and keep his name in the conversation when we are speaking about crooks and thieves.
 
Funny thing is, he only lives hrs from most of you.
How can he manage to rip so many people off for big money and is still be doing it regularly?
How is he above the laws? You guys are talking big money, at least to me!
Nobody has taken him to any court??
This guy seems like he should have already been taken care. Robbing old people and reptile people.

This site does not, and should not be expected to act as judge and jury. It is up to the buyer to use due diligence and investigate those they are considering completing a transaction with.

Should the site refuse advertising due to claims of scamming, (which it does not do) some people might then reasonably but erroneously draw the conclusion that anyone selling on the site could be considered safe.

Investigating each seller is obviously way beyond the scope of a classified site. It makes more sense that the buyer, who has the most to gain or lose, be responsible for investigation of his seller.
