I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?
So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.
But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.
Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.
I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I am not getting harsh with anyone. I am just trying to figure out what happened here. You got taken by this guy last year, he got taken by this guy again. And then went back into the pit the 3rd time. Trying to figure out why.
The rules of BOI is that he has to offer evidence of what he is saying. He so far has given us three screen shots.
The first is of him asking what is up with that. No context. I could get a random part of any facebook conversation and do that.
The second is just weird, and is a screaming post to run away.
The last part does support is argument. But seems to be taken before he decided on which one he wanted.
When asked to clearify, he refused to. Does that seem off to you?
If I was going to accuse someone of what he is accusing, I would post the whole conversation from start to end. Including receipts.
I am going to drop this.
All I am going to say, you have not proven your case. You refuse to post the whole conversation, only parts that seem to support you. For all we know, this could have been an auction that you lost.
You never actually offered evidence you bought the snake, which snake you bought, and all the other details. It looks like he took your money. But you have not proven it. And the BOI rules state that you have to offer evidence and proof of what you said. You have not actually not met those simple requirements. When asked to produce the evidence you refuse too and attack me.
I honestly would not do business with a person that screwed me over 2 times before. Which is why I asked why you went in the third time.
I am done with this. All I ask is for you to spend 3 minutes and post the whole conversation.

Actually per rules he DOESN'T HAVE to provide evidence but it is encouraged. And he has proved manny was trying to pull a fast one on him and another person.
I would like to see the whole conversation as well. Not to mention any correspondence with the "other buyer. Perhaps the other buyer could weigh in here.

Yea there's info missing that it would be nice if he added it, and the other buyer came here. But with Mannys track record.... I still will never buy from him. He has nice animals, but I'm not going to end up one of his statistics. I would flip if I bought an animal and what showed up was NOT that animal or no animal at all.
I also wouldn't mind knowing what the "issue" was with a purchase from last year from Manny.
I want Manny Frade to speak up on the issue. I am calling him out. Anybody that knows him tell him to drop by and leave a message. That is the only person I would like to see responding. If what I have provided is not enough then go do business with him and find out for yourself.
He sold me a snake with an under bite. The picture on that ad was a top view. Can't pickup under bite from a top view. Brought it to his attention and he said it would go away. He said wait four to six months. I waited eight and the under bite was still there. The main reason I didn't send it back is because a few months after I got her I learned about his shady ways. I wasn't about to send it back and not get anything back in return. This time around I thought he would do the right thing because of the past, but he didn't. Instead he falsely advertised and was planning on sending me a different snake.
It's not enough. And people come here to research dealers and "find out for" themselves without doing business with him. Did you warn everyone here about your bad transaction with Manny last year? For what it's worth, you should lose the attitude. Whether or not you see it, people here are trying to help you.

I'm not sure but I will ask him. I'll post a screen shot of one of his comments he posted on my post in the Feedback and Inquiry forum on Facebook. Then I'm am officially done providing evidence.

Unfortunately somebody whose conscience has no problem with allegedly taking 2 million from people including the elderly will have zero interest in the small amounts involved here

I agree 100%. My only reason for this post is to make people aware. $375 is nothing to either one of us and he knows that, but I know to others it is.

These will be the last messages, I have blocked him from replying through messanger because I just don't want to get into a long argument with him, calling the op a dead beat, idiot, stupid. Etc that's not how you do business and not how you talk about a past transaction to anyone. He is aware of the thread and if he doesn't come here that's all on him.

I said I wasn't going to waste anymore time on this person but I think it needs to be clear that I was offering a much more genetically diverse and 2-2.5 X more valuable snake in lieu of the one he contacted me in regards for being a 2 time repeat buyer and someone I was friendly with. The other party had contacted me about the same animal however I didn't receive any payment until AND ONLY AFTER hector and I were clear on what we were doing. Hector decided NOT to accept my offer so I IMMEDIATLEY credited his PayPal. At which point Hector and I were clear and final. THEN and only then (24 hours later) and after Hector and I were clear did I contact the other party and informed the other party on An alternate animal, they accepted the animal and price AND THEN and only then did I run THEIR CARD through our system. SO NEVER were there 2 payments made on 1 snake AND the other party was never charged until AFTER the exact animal they were getting was agreed upon.
So He comes to his senses- Hector 1st was against the animal I was upgrading for him but later realized the missed opportunity and decided for it so I asked him to resend the PayPal and I would still honor it. He did and all was cool but not soon after I received a message from the other party telling me he had been contacted by Hector and Hector's 1 sided story and was understandably displeased. Anyway I decided I had enough with Hector and his back and forth and ratcheting of the situation And it was better after all to just not deal with It all and IMMEDIATELY refund his PayPal AGAIN for a SECOND time.
So in recap, 1 payment for 1 snake AND PAYMENT WAS ONLY after all was clear and 2 payments twice for 1 snake all By Hector all by his decision and lastly 2 payments reimbursed for said snake 1 hectors decision 1 mine.
Story is basically this: Hector's upset at his missed opportunity not once but twice and understandably so, he got in his own way. All he had to do is say thank you or no thank you and that would of been the end of it. I only tried to do something nice for someone and their collection but instead my good deed went punished. IMO Hectors a malcontent and not more to it then that..
