I have been doing trades and breeder loans with Catharine Smith for years. She is a great person and excellent breeder. All the reptiles I have received from her are health, mite free, and sexed correctly 100% of the time. This guy sound like a douchbag for waiting to confirm the sex of the reptiles.

Mistakes do happen. To purchase an animal that was supposed to be female and it ends up male is upsetting for sure. BUT to wait over half a year to verify the sex of an animal is a bit extreme in the least. To then expect the seller to still have the $ and to automatically give a refund of that $ over half a year later is just crazy. She has kept in contact and has tried to work out a solution. She has not blocked or ignored you like so many other sellers could have and would have done. I personally have bought animals from her to the utmost satisfaction in those animals. Clean, healthy, and wonderful animals. Unlike so many others who sell emaciated, malnourished, mite infested animals. She has refunded you so far $180. Yes over a bit of time. Times are hard right now for anyone and everyone. She has promised to refund another $120. And I know her she will keep that promise. Might take a couple months but she will. In my opinion you basically got what you deserve. You bought animals in good faith of the sex. Didn't know how and didn't try your best to get to someone who could 1) teach you how to sex them or 2) sex them for you. You wait 6 months before verifying the sex. Even pro breeders make mistakes on occasion. But to wait 6 months and expect a full refund is absolute nuts. You say if you sold them for $1000 each she would still owe you?? You are nuts. She does find animals for friends who can't, purchases them and then sells them to the friend. If that is a flipper then so be it. She has found me some hard to find animals, bought them outright, and allowed me to make payments because I was for 3 years jobless. That is over and beyond customer care. She is wonderful and goes out of her way to make things right. You just need to suck it up that a mistake was made. Plans might have flown out the window...but there is always another breeding season. She's willing to refund another $120 on top of the $180 already refunded? You're getting more back than you really deserve. Deal with it. Grow up. Move on.

If you read anything you will notice that I didnt expect a full refund on the spot, and I was more than willing to work with her. And she hasnt really kept in contact, I had to constantly ask her what was going on, and Im pretty sure if I didnt keep contacting her I woulda got nothing. And if your three years jobless why are you trying to purchase animals? All in all if you had a good expirience with her, good for you! My wasnt so good and this is why its here. Why does everyone think i jumped her case right from the start? I didnt even feel upset about he whole mis-sexing fiasco until I saw her bidding on auctions and posting new pics of new animals every week. I mean come on really, even if she is selling others animals she aint getting a cosignment?

I dont edit screen shots period, dont wanna be accused of mixing up information, or covering stuff up. Plus if theyre not invovled who cares about them? I understand learning how to sex late was my fault, but she still agreed to refund, if she really wants I will go back and ask for the snakes back, and then if she wants to pay shipping ill send them to her and then she can still give me a full refund. Good to hear your circumstances got better, its nice to have loved ones who will look out for you like that. Ive got a few. But the bold makes no standing when she posts it all on facebook. Anything public on facebook is anyones business.

If that was the case and they died 6 months later it woulda been on me. Dont try to change subjects or throw "what ifs" around. "What if" didnt happen.

Fact: You GAVE THEM AWAY instead of selling them to try and recoupe some of your losses. Fact: She has gone to her best to try and work with you and you take the issue here. If I was in her shoes I'd tell you the $180 was all you were getting. Get them back from the friend and sell them. And good riddance. Block you and be done. But she hasn't done that. Give her some credit. For all those yelling "flipper". She is not. She does buy and sell to friends animals she finds that they want and can't find for themselves. What she does with her time and money is her business. Not anyone else's business. She's more than fair. I'll continue to do business with her now and in the future.

I am sendig out a partial refund today.. you still have the two males... I don't know if you've sold them or not.. I have not won anything on Ben's auctions.. I'm not a Flipper.. I get groups of animals.. Keep them for months to make sure they are healthy and feeding well. I work at a zoo therefore I have access to wormers and other antibiotics if the animal is in ill health. I Quarantine for months not days. I used to word losely in that message to get the point across that I'm not in this right now to make money. I am building up my collection for certain breeding projects. I haven't purchased an animal is Several Months if not a year now. I was given many animals and have sold a few of my own pets because I want to concentrate on my own breeding. I will get the money to him. I will do what I said I would.

Focal if she is a flipper or not depends on a person's views and opinions. She takes in animals for friends and sells them for them. Flipper? She finds animals when other's can't and buys them for them so they in turn can buy them from her. Flipper? She buys groups of animals that she finds, keeps the ones she likes and sells the rest. Flipper? Admit it we've all done something similar at one point in time or another. Flippers don't offer refunds or try to work issues out. They sell the animal and then run. She's not done that and is in contact with RC. RC claims he has to hound her. I imagine if he asked nicely and refrained from actions like this here he would have gotten a more positive response from her. Anybody would feel pressured and threatened to be treated like this. She is willing to work with him if he would just be a little more understanding and patient. He has to take some responsibility for the lack of timeliness on his part. 6 months to verify sex is a bit far for even a professional breeder/seller to be willing to offer any kind of refund. 99.9% of all breeders/sellers sell with the condition of no guarantees and no refunds except for live arrival. He's damn lucky she's giving him anything in refund after all this time.

I'm so sorry to hear about your day first of all I'm starting back at the zoo I worked for for three years probably (hopefully) next weekend I'm really excited.. When you said you were looking for "light" girls.. 2 and 3 were the ones I immediately thought of and I Love the white border and yes.. they are sisters 5 of these girls were dinkers because there was something unusual about their looks Never thought of the Het red but there is a possibility since I got about 15 in a group deal 2 years ago and held that one and the 1252 gram girl back because of their coloration. LOL... I have so many people yelling at me for jumping on those girls so quickly I was at the right place at the right time.. I'm keeping one for myself and a friend of mine is getting the other three with the promise of pick of the litter when the eggs hatch for getting in touch with him so quickly after they were posted. I was nice for months!!!! Kept a friendship asked how things were going with her all the time!!! I didnt start being a "Big Meanie" until i saw loads of animals going through her and no mention of payment to me. No set time date no deadline, nothing. The only time I got payment is when I asked for it, and I shouldnt have had to ask!!! I kept getting back burnered
