    =====================

I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Inquiry BHB Reptiles

I think some of you have expectations that are just too high.

I work in customer service, and if a customer told me that I lost there business because I was a day late calling them back, I would probably be happy about the lose.

Have some patience people.

If you read the OP it wasn't a single day, but many days.

Heres the thing, I dont care if your calling to spend $5.00 or $50,000 a customer is a customer and if they spend $5.00 now, who knows they can spend $500.00 later.

I don't care if your the "largest breeder" in the world, there is a fine line pertaining to customer service. I have seen so many people get shot down by other people because they make a simple complaint like this but everyone has to understand if it wasnt for people like the OP then these "large breeders" would not be doing as good as they are doing.

I've never purchased from BHB, but I have traded a few emails with Brian and he was always fast to respond and friendly to me... I imagine they are super busy during breeding season.

Either way take a look at this thread: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=130100&page=10

Then decide how much credibility Bryan/Matt Tipton has. (Post #92 is particuarly colorful...)

Brian is a good friend of mine. he always returns emails and calls. It maybe a day later maybe even two. But I know that he has one of the largest collections around and produces more eggs then 99% of people around. I have been to his place and i know that his pone rings NONE STOP!!! No joke his phone is ringing if it is not ringing he is on it.

Sometimes when you want to purcase from a larger breeder more time is needed. But I have never been treated wrong by Brian.

Brian and Lori are some of the best!! I've purchased several times from them, and have gotten nothing but fabulous animals. Brian's spent a lot of time with me both in person and on the phone chatting with me about snakes, his gratitude for his family, etc. I've observed him treating every person that I've seen that walks up to him like a friend, treating them with the utmost respect, and answering tons of questions he's undoubtedly answered a thousand times before. And having done this 20+ years, that in and of itself is a feat.

I know it sucks when people don't email or call back right away. However, my own experience with Brian and Lori is that their animals are top notch, and their customer service has been stellar. Sometimes folks get busy, but I don't think that means their customers are "forgotten" or "unimportant." JMHO.

That's funny the op starts a thread about BHB awful customer service! In the same thread stats he still purchased the animal? Why even start the thread, sounds like you were being impatient and didn't even wait for the whole situation to play out!

I have purchased from BHB and never had any problems, the way it usually went was I emailed them one day, the following day I get a response, If they have what I want I let them know to send pix(if its not a het). A few days goes by and I get the pictures(During those days I send 1 maybe 2 reminder emails about the pix) Lori or Brian send the pix with courtesy, I send them the money they send me the package.

I don't know if anyone has been reading his blog, if you did you know this week was very busy...in today's blog he states "yesterday at the shop 1700 eggs were laid in one day"!!!!! Now if you were doing a little research you probably would have come to the conclusion he is a busy man I might need a little patience dealing with BHB, IMO well worth it!

I will say this... Brian has always answered my emails. It may take a couple days but they do get answered. And both emails were more of a "how do you do it" type of email.

Xanax lay off the pills and get a life.

Yeah blah blah..

Is it true what Bo is saying? Is it true that you have received photos of animals you've only inquired about purchasing and have posted those photos on various forums presenting that you actually own them?

I don't know why Bo would lie about something like that, because that is a very serious charge. A much much much more serious charge than this one you started here. It could be something very innocent on your part, as in a desire to own something you cant afford and wish people to think you can, an attempt to boost your status/credibility/respect in the hobby. Or it could be the start of a despicable scheme with the eventual intent to scam.

If Bo does start that thread on you and provides those links, you're gonna have a lot of explaining to do. You might regret what you started here.

I think it's of ridiculous to start a BOI thread because someone doesn't get their call or email returned right away, or in what they feel is a reasonable time. Reptile breeders have lives folks, in addition to their animal collections. Many of them have children. People have complained about me in the past not returning their phone calls or email right away, but I think if that's the worse thing they can say about me then I must not be that bad LOL. I think the same thing applies to Brian and Lori at BHB.

Well, a BOI thread was started about the Burke's. Mr. Tipton was hammered pretty good. Couple months go by.....seems Mr. Tipton decided to lay low and play nice. Then he started this thread, and has started to display his old character (see response to xanaxes... I can't quote from my phone).

I can't help but wonder if breeders aren't starting to see you coming, Bryan/ Matt, and running the other direction. I thought you were on a good path. Hope you can find it again....you've been good for a while.

brian is a good guy

i have purchased a het pied from him in the past and i only have good things to say about brian and his wife and crew. i would do buisness with them again with no questions asked.

I understand it does take time to post a photo. If it was truely several days before a response was given, I don't understand that. It doesn't take long to shoot an email or make a quick call saying ... I will get you that photo soon. I read most of the posts, but didn't see a response from BHB. Has Brian at BHB been made aware of this thread so we can hear his version of the account here? It would help.

BHB reptiles

Wow..I can't image anyone disappointed with BHB and Brian.
I have visited his place at least four times now.
Each time very welcomed by Brian.

I haven't come home from his place empty handed yet.
He has some of the most awesome animals.
I have at least 12 snakes from him.
They are all very healthy animals.

I have also email him lots of times, and I have always received an answer in good timely matter. If its just questions, or if I am interested in one of his animals.

I do know that he runs his own business with Lori and a small crew.
We was just there May 16 for a visit. Brian had commented lots of times, how it is going to get very busy when the snakes start laying eggs.

I also know from experience, that one will not relate to something unless they first hand experience themselves. No one will realize just how busy these people are, until maybe someday, they have as many snakes and are trying to run their own business..etc.

Brian and everyone at BHB are very wonderful people.
Down to earth, and takes all the time he can with you.
I have seen this first hand at our visits to his place.

I will buy from him time and time again.
I can't think of anything bad or negative to say towards anyone at BHB.

Awesome group of people.

I just think the OP jumped the gun too fast on this complaint.

Let me make sure I have the facts straight here...

1) You may or may not be some sort of "Dirt-Bag" that just gets pics of animals so you can claim to own them on various forums?

2) You contacted Lori at BHB and didn't ask to purchase...but asked to have a picture sent to you during the BUSIEST TIME OF ANY BREEDERS YEAR?!?! He and his crew are taking care of thousands of new eggs EACH WEEK and you want them to jump on your order for a picture?!?!

3) You low-ball them on price and you're only buying ONE animal?!?! Maybe if you were a repeat customer...or were buying several snakes...maybe then you could negotiate a price break. But on one animal and without any commitment on your behalf?!?!

I am sorry to hear that YOU happened to any breeder!

It's obvious that you (at minimum) are an impatient, pain-in-the-butt as far as a potential customer goes. I know Brian and his integrity is rock solid.

You on the other hand...????

The Tipton's have shown what type of people they are in other threads. BHB always has one of the best booths at the San Diego and Anahiem shows. Brian and Lori have always been cool to me when I browse their booth. The only thing I have ever purchased from them was a NICE reduced patterned female Ball that my wife saw and just loved. The packaging they used at the show, for us to take the Ball home in, was above and beyond, and this is for a $50 NORMAL female.

When bad guys make bad guy threads about good people, it is not to hard to see through the crap and see who the real bad guys are.
