    =====================

I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

My very good friend, Deborah Stewart of Stewart Reptiles contacted me last year with a proposal that I send my het hypo female to her for the 2010/2011 season to breed with her POG.

Having admired her POG many times when I'd go visit her, I humbly accepted her offer. If you knew Deborah, you'd know that she would give those she counts among her friends, the shirt off of her back. And this was just one of countless kindesses I've witnessed, both as a recipient of her kindness and as an observer of kindnesses she's done for others.

In any case, we proved my het hypo girl, who I had some doubts about, though she was sold to me as 100% het hypo. It also makes me feel a little more hopeful for my het clown female proving, who came from the same source (if she'll quit holding onto her eggs - at this rate, she's going to give live birth! LOL).

Anyway, onto the POG clutch pictures. The other great thing about these guys being at Deborah's is that she's an AWESOME photographer, so I'm getting awesome pictures of my babies as well! And yes, as part of this arrangement, she's gifted me with the entire clutch.

Hopefully a joint project we're working on for next year will yield results we are both hoping for to return the favor.

First up, a het hypo:

and SHE was the first out of the egg:

One other het hypo, but I don't have pictures of it, because I got a few duplicate pictures.

Two pastel het hypos:

And the shining star - a POG!

First of all - I guess you just have to put it out there in the universe sometimes - that het clown was laying this morning as I was getting ready for work!

beautiful POG !!! GOOD LUCK with him !

Thank you so much - I can't wait for him (sending boy thoughts out there) to come on out of the egg. I love reduced patterns, and it's looking like this entire clutch is going to be reduced pattern. :D

Very nice clutch, I'm hoping to get a pog this coming season. Happy your het girl proved

You'll have to share pictures! You buying or hoping to produce one this year?

That's awesome! Congrats to you both for proving the het girl.

Thank you so much!

BIG congrats, Robin!!! That's so awesome! :D

Thanks Matt! She told me at the show that she'd be cutting them this past Thursday. Now I keep obsessively checking my e-mail for updates and her awesome pictures! LOL She lives about an hour away, so it's not like I can just pop over there easily - especially with the Atlanta traffic! LOL

Beautiful Robin!!!

Thanks John!

Awesome Shining Star!! Congrats!

Thank you! I can't wait to bring the babies and momma home!

I can't wait to see the POG outta the egg. :)

I can't either!!

Just a quick update. Couldn't have asked for better odds!

1.0 POG
0.2 Het Hypos
0.2 Pastel Het Hypos

As soon as I download the pictures of them all out of the egg and re-size them, I'll post them up!

Wow nice odds!! Congrats, bet you're stoked!!

Can't wait for the pics!

haha, awesome odds on that.

Congrats and a BIG thank you to both you and Deborah for being excellent examples of how people should treat each other, as much as business partners as friends. Its really nice to see a happy story amongst all the less fortunate ones.
