That seems to be your conclusion, not my own. I was just verifying if that was your view, as I understood it from what you wrote.
I would like to point out that if Bill is going along with Robert and his wife then he is no better than they are. So far you guys have painted Bill as a liar, spineless and foolish. Yet you claim to admire him! What the heck do you guys say about those you don't like?
Oh! I remember you insinuate their children are bullies and thieves.
Robert and I had our own contract and even notarized but when I transferred the property to Robert later on without notifying him, the State found it and he could not do anything about it. I sent up a red flag unintentionally. My mistake!

Even if that is all true I still don't see how that was your fault. Had you been made aware of Roberts bankruptcy prior to writing up a contract would you have still gone through with the deal? Would you still have transferred the property to his name? I think (hope) not.
Why are you holding yourself accountable when Robert is the one who withheld some very relevant and important information from you which could have prevented the whole mess if you were made aware of it from the beginning?
