    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

Yasiel is a very good guy to buy from... Answers very fast and answers all questions.. Glad to have bought a Spotted Bush Snake from him.. Its already feeding.
I will be buying from him again! :yesnod:

I too just made a purchase from Glassy, shipped same day and animals were in perfect condition. Accommodated every request i had with super fast response time. Great price too! - can recommend!

I made a purchase from Yaisel too but it didn't go very well. I ended up receiving a natal green snake instead of a spotted bush snake but he ended up refunding me 35 bucks after quite a bit of name calling and arguing.

You came to me dropping the F bomb and claiming I was out to get you and scam you over a $55.00 dollar snake. I refund 35 dollars and your still unhappy. You came off as an extremely rude, immature, and very unpleasant from the very first messages. I even offered replacement of snake and you claim I was going to scam you and don't trust me. I refunded and made it right yet your still nasty about it... That's OK!!!

All the business I have done with Yaisel was very positive. If he misidentified a snake, big whoop. Everyone makes mistakes.

Nice to know that, because honestly I don't care.

He screwed me over and sent me a snake that I didn't want and denied it was the wrong species.

Here is a copied version of something I posted on Facebook.

I don't know if this is really appropriate to post here because it isn't a classified but I'm going to post it here because I know the person I am talking about has posted here before. I recently purchased a spotted bush snake from Yaisel Rodriguez for 95 shipped. Originally I wanted to get a juvenile to make the acclimation process a little easier. I asked him for pictures and they were all of patternless green snakes, NOT spotted bush snakes like I wanted. He told me all the juveniles were patternless but all the adults were spotted, so I decided to go ahead and purchase an adult for 10 dollars extra because I knew that it wasn't the species I wanted. He shipped it yesterday and it arrived at 11 am today. When I opened the snake bag there was a patternless green snake with black skin in between the scales which you can only see when the snake is stretched out or had a large meal. I thought that was odd but I left it in its enclosure for a few hours and offered it an anole which it refused as well as a small bullfrog which it refused. I started doing a lot more research online about the different species and discovered that it indeed was the wrong species of snake and decided I want my money back. When I told him his immediate reply was "Your a fuckibg Annoy kid Holy shit. It's the SAME species. You prove me wrong with someone who has a herp degree and ill listen." So far he has offered to refund me 25 dollars out of the 95 I paid for the snake and shipping but only because I threatened to post about him in other groups and the BOI. He has also given me the option to ship the snake I have to him and he would send me the right species, but I don't think I trust him enough to do that. My friend Prestin Tomborello also received a spotted bush snake which came to him very healthy, very active and very eager to eat. It ate an anole a few hours after it got to his house and today ate 3 unscented pinkies. Mine has been hiding all day and refuses any food in the cage. Here is a picture of the snake I received and the snake Prestin got next to each other to compare the differences between the two snakes. They are very obviously not the sames species yet he insists that they are. Obviously this guy screwed me over on purpose and sold me the wrong species. I urge everyone to think twice about purchasing anything from him.

Why don't you care? And why wouldn't you trust Yaisel to get you the right species, if he offered? If you don't like the snake, return it to him, if he's willing. That's the only way he will give you a full refund.

Mislabelling happens all the time. I've argued and argued and argued about species that should not be mislabelled by some people, but seriously, it is a losing battle. If you knew what you were going to get, by pictures, why did you buy it then?

Are you serious? He showed me pictures of one snake and sent me another.

I don't care because he screwed me over, plane and simple

"Nice to know that, because honestly I don't care."

That says a lot.

"Obviously this guy screwed me over on purpose and sold me the wrong species. I urge everyone to think twice about purchasing anything from him."

See that's where you are wrong, you clearly are very nasty even after I bend over and made it right you are still on a witch hunt and want to trash my rep. My animals speak for themselves and I don't know what would make you think i'm going to "purposely" screw someone over. I am fair and honest, don't like it? Take a hike. I treat others as I would like to be treated and your message instead of being polite you cuss me out with F bomb and accuse me of scamming you. Treat others as you want to be treated, obviously someone missed that lesson..Oh well.

Is there any way you can prove that your's is not Philothamnus semivariegatus? Because, P. semivariegatus are a variable species, and they do not all have patterns. Did Yaisel actually say he would send you a patterned one?

Yes, he told me that ALL of the adults had patterning so I told him I would pay the extra 10 for an adult and that I DIDN'T want a patternless one.

As for proving that it isn't semivariegatus, he wouldn't even talk to me about a refund until I had a herpetologist check it out, so I had a herpetologist friend of mine who works with them back up my claims and well as having Francis Cosquieri who keeps multiple species of Philothamnus check it out as well. Both decisions were the same, that it was not a semivariegatus that he sent, however exact identification is going to require macro shots of the head and I don't have a decent enough camera anymore.

I don't want anything else out of this, I just want people to know what happened. If he would have just been reasonable from the start and admitted it was a mistake this would have easily been resolved. Contrary to what he would like you to believe, my first message simply said "Dude this is like f****d up. I want either some of my money back or refunded completely. I specifically asked for a spotted one like Prestin got and decided to pay more for one and its patternless pretty much except for the black skin in between the scales." I did NOT come out swearing. His reply to that was to call me "an annoying f*****g kid. It wasn't until after that that I lost it and flipped out on him... eventually he dropped to "its the same species" crap which tells me he knew that he sold me the wrong animals

I will not be buying from Glassy (Yaisel Rodriguez) again, he messaged me last night saying, "becuase I know Tyler (RegenerationReptiles) that he refuses to sell to me anymore." Out of the clear blue! That I find to be very rude and non-bushiness like... I do not recommend him anymore.

Is there any way you can prove that your's is not Philothamnus semivariegatus? Because, P. semivariegatus are a variable species, and they do not all have patterns. Did Yaisel actually say he would send you a patterned one?

The snake I received (Spotted) has a different facial structure, body, underbelly etc from the snake Tyler received. It is very obvious that he got a different species and that is not acceptable. You should know what you are selling especially when someone requests a SPOTTED not pattern-less animal. Tyler specifically said, "I want one with the spots and not the ones with no pattern"

He received a smaller individual when he payed extra for a larger individual because all of Yaisel's babys were "PATTERNLESS"..... and he didnt want a patternless. :NoNo:

Yaisel didn't listen to him.

Yeah there is a world of difference between the one Prestin got and the one I got. Different head structure, body shape, length of tail etc. on top of the fact that his is covered in black spots and mine is a flat lime green which I specifically told him I didn't want.

Great transaction with Yiasel! I bought 3 rufous beaked snakes and everything came just as described I will definitely do business with him again (assuming he can get me more beaked snakes ;) )
