    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Ok how do I start this?

Well it all started out when I found an add on Hoobly. She had some Ball Pythons for sale and I liked the Albino Male ball python she had for sale. Well story short I wired her $300 for this adult male albino ball python and she never sent the snake and says she is too high (she is a pot head) to ever ship the snake. So if anyone lives near Louisville and or knows this girl and can help me out please let me know. I have tried all I can besides go to her place and get the snake. She lives way to far for me to drive there just for a $300. Please don't give me grief about me wireing her money. I know I messed up but maybe someone can help me fix it.

WOW... Just when you think you have heard it all... Too bad Chelsea was not too high to take your money.

Wes, you will need to post whatever proof of this transaction that you have.. proof of payment, emails or texts will do. Also, please alert Chelsea to this thread so she can state her case (assuming she can step away from the bong for a few min's)... :ack2:

This is pretty unfortunate.....I had hoped that Chelsea had seen the error of her ways a long time ago but it looks like I was wrong.

To be honest, I have not seen, heard from or talked to Chelsea in a few years.....I have no idea where she lives now or what she is up to. I don't have any contact info of any kind for her either, and I'm sorry I can't be of more assistance. :(
 
Well all I know is she works at poodles by george. Anyway you could take a trip there and see what's going on with her? I'm pretty upset about all of this and what other stuff she has done.
 
You could always get her work number and call her everyday at work..... Make it easier for her to pay you than ignore you.

Google "poodles by george" and you'll find it easy.
 
Honestly dude....theres no way that I'm going to track down somebody I haven't talked to in years asking about some debt she owes to a complete stranger. I work a full time job and have waaaaaay too much stuff to do than be a pseudo-bounty hunter, lol.

Not to say you're lying but you have not posted a single shred of evidence to back up your claims, so asking me to stick my neck out for you & go out of my way is a bit much IMO.

And David you don't have to do anything for me. I'm sorry I can't post any proof because we talked on the phone and text messaged the whole time. But I have a nice fella who might go and see Chelsea at her work for me.

I have actually done this before.

Your bank statement could be scanned and the transaction highlighted. You can also probably get more information on the transaction from your bank..(to...from...date).
 
Well, as Deb stated, if you sent money straight to her bank account (that was not very inteligent on her part), then you have the ability to get ahold of your bank statements to show when the transfer was requested and when it was completed.

That aside, you apparently have this woman's bank account information. Since you need a good bit of validation in order to have a bank account, you have the ability to get this woman's first and last name as well as her address and where she happened to pull the money from. This, of course, will have to be done via the aid of local police officials in your area. What you need to do is put in a complaint for fraud. You can get printed records of your phone bill to show recieved and sent calls as well as the correspondants the two of you had via text message. This way the authorities in her area can be contacted and they can visit her. Sending a random person to her work to harass her about it will solve nothing, especially since she's likely spent the money by now and more than likely has no ball pythons.

I will tell you now that the odds of you getting anything out of this are heavily against you. I cannot stress how important it is for people to utilize payment methods that can be tracked and disputed. You should count yourself lucky that you got as much as you did. Even if the account is not hers, the person who owns it can be drug in as an asset to fraud.

The skinny of it is, put all your ducks in a row before you count them. Remember this lesson too.
 
i went to school with her. she doesnt work there any more. shes to bad on drugs. now she goes from hotel to hotel with her "clients". i know where she lives i actually sold her a ton of snakes. that albino is messed up his nose it jacked. her brother works with my girlfriend at ups

I dont think anyone should do anything til you prove your case.. A adult albino male for $300 sounds too good to be true first off.. So whose snake is it is it Wes's or Caleb's??? Looks like someone backed out on ya'll this time instead of the other way around.. Good luck getting your money back..
