    =====================

I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Inquiry BHB Reptiles

If their truly is something negative to say about Bryan I believe that would be best served in its own thread. No use making this an unneeded long thread about someone other then the person in the title. My suggestion is that if anyone has any information relating to Bryan that they think should be made available on the BOI, put it in its own thread..

I thinking that posting it here for all to see would show what kind of credibility his claim has here, especially since he didn't show any poof about emails he sent and did or didn't receive.

Then link it his this thread in this thread. Pretty simple and straight forward. It not only keeps this thread clear, but would help users searching for Bryan. Why would the average person open up an inquiry on BHB if they were searching for information on Bryan?

I think if it pertains to Bryan Tipton, and his credibility, it belongs in this thread. I also think it is funny when people say stop adding to this thread, when they themselves are adding to this thread...

1) I really don't care if you have hurt feelings.

2) I was asking questions...which you failed to answer or defend.

Guilty as charged as far as I can see!

My bad, I didn't know he was referring to you, as we both have the same first name.

Anyway, the verdict is in, guilty as charged.

Carry on my good man....but be careful not to get carried away. There are fair rules in place that protect even the scummiest of scumbags like Bryan from antagonistic and discourteous posts. I don't like it much myself but, thems the rules.

Ok I have been in the market for a Ivory female Ball Python for some time now. I was on BHB's site and seen that they have a female for sale for $1350.
I sent Lori and email and stated that I wish to purchase the female for an even $1,250 and asked for a picture.... days go by and I receive a reply back from her stating that's fine and she would get back to me ASAP. I then wait a few more days then try calling.... I called twice one day and once the second day.... no answer either days so I leave a voice message saying I was interested in the Ivory and to call me back or send me an email with that picture. So I wait a day or two longer and a email comes in from Lori saying she'll have the picture out to me ASAP. That was yesterday morning and now I am not interested in their animal any more and their customer service is lacking and they have no business tactics at all. Their emails and 1 sentence and brief, they take days to return emails and don't answer their phone or return messages that's left on their answering machine.

IMO if someone comes to you wanting to spend over $1000 on a ball python you should bust your a$$ to make them happy and feel like your business is wanted and appreciated.... I did not feel that at all dealing with them. I won't be doing business with BHB ever until they learn to treat potential customers right. They have time to make those stupid and retarded snake bytes videos but they don't have time to make a customer feel appreciated.:NoNo:

Name takin down! Thanks for the info, I now know to never do business with you. As you are to demanding! I hate people like that...

Do you not know what an ivory looks like ???? It takes alot more than 5 min to snap a pic and email it and everything else...how many people do you think contact him and ask for pics on animals they want then never buy...I have spent over 4K this year with them this year and don't have any complaints cause I understand they are in the busiest part of the year now...I have people who want me to take pics of normals....thats just crazy...If you want the animal and that was the right price whats the difference...I think you want your a$$ kissed cause your spending a little money...thats not gonna happen with big breeders...I know breeders that require a deposit before they send out any pics...frankly taking pics is a pain in the a$$

I agree with what I highlighted in red above, anyone trying to get a pic for a large breeder during breeding season shoud understand its not going to happen in five min or even an hour or two, but could be days!!

Howeve, there are good reasons why I and many others skip over ads that do not contain a picture of the animal(s) for sale. I don't normally buy sight unseen even if it's a normal, I want to see what I'm getting. It would be my fault if I recieve something other than what I expected if I didn't.

Even with that said, there are very few people I would buy from without a pic, Brian (BHB) would be one I would trust. :yesnod:

I used to work at BHB and yeah i would say Brian was extremely busy especially with this time of the year it was alot of work and alot on everyones plate there breeding season was seriously crazy lol. I commend him on what he does for the reptile community. I have to disagree with the lack of good business which you said because he was always on the phone nonstop doing business when i worked there Although i butted heads with some of the crew there, Brian and Lori have been good to me and i have some great animals that i have bought from them.

Its not that i would not send a pic but my time is just as valuable as the next persons..and a normal is a normal...unless advertised differently you should expect to see or get a normal... I wouldn't expect someone to stop what they are doing to take a pic of an animal no matter what the price without at the minimum of sending a deposit especially when your trying to low ball the price ...money talks....I also try not to buy high end animals from people I can't trust....and I always check sexes even from breeders I do trust

So you're saying if you've got an animal up for sale and someone asks for a picture you're going to charge them to see the animal?

I would never pay to get a picture of an animal that I'm asking for a pic of. As a buyer I want to see what I'm buying, I want to see if the animal looks healthy, has retained shed/eye caps, or has a certain look that I want. In no way should anyone have to pay to check these things. :NoNo:

I saw this thread and came on here to defend a friend, one I know who has always treated everyone fair and courteously whether they were spending $20.00 or $20,000. I am glad to see it was pretty much done for me. Brian and Lori both have always been great in all aspects of their business and i have no problem whatsoever sending anyone their way.
I am sorry to hear that you feel you had a delay in communication, but knowing Brian I am sure there was a good reason.

I currently don't ask for a deposit due to the fact when I post an animal for sale I include a pic and gladly update pics to the buyers. I also will take another pic if I have an interested buyer but I will take the pic when I have an opportunity. I don't stop what i'm doing to go take the pic and I also don't have thousands of animals to take care of just a few hundred....I don't blame anyone for asking for a deposit before they waste their time taking a pic and sending it to someone who, more than likely, is not even remotely in the position to purchase the animal.the cost of the animal is not the issue because I was GIVING away normal male ball pythons and still people wanted pics and I provided them.. funny thing was they were excellent healthy normals for FREE and people still just wanted to look. I think if the people who are asking for pics needed to leave a deposit it would stop the people who have no real intention to buy from wasting breeders or sellers time.

And exactly what happens when that deposit isn't immediately refunded by the seller when the prospective buyer isn't interested? You've got another thread started here calling the seller a thief and a scumbag because it wasn't refunded in the same timely manner that it was sent.

And if you don't think that scenario is plausible you just haven't been around here on the BOI long enough.

If you want to sell an animal, if you want to sell anything, you make it simple for your prospective buyers to purchase - and you bend over backwards to earn that business. Its the difference between doing ok and being truly successful.

"Bryan" (who is Matt Tipton, by the way....Bryan is one of his fake aliases) has been shown time and time again to be a scumbag thief and liar. He probably just wanted to steal the pics from BHB so he could claim he owned the animal like he has done a handful of times.

I know for a fact that he has been threatened with legal action for stealing photos multiple times in the past and I have even caught him doing this myself. He lies about EVERYTHING he says and cannot be trusted one bit.

Hes a convicted felon who needs to vanish from the community forever. Only then will be contributing anything positive.

Listen I was stating I don't blame people for not jumping to send pics out. I believe if the guy was truly that interested he would have sent the deposit. AGAIN I don't ask for anything from my customers and I bend over BACKWARDS for their business but i'm not one of if not the largest breeder in the US. I'm not here to argue a useless point ...I have spent more money and am a repeat buyer from Brian and Lori and I can vouch that they are good reptile people. I can also say that this time of year they are slow to respond BIG DEAL. For the record I received an infraction point for a " ambiguious signature" which I think is bogus.

THIS IS THE ACCOUNT HOLDER WAYNE and has been me posting all along if anyone was confused...Thanks

Listen I was stating I don't blame people for not jumping to send pics out.

Honestly, I guess I just don't know what you're trying to say. And truly, you've contradicted yourself so well that I've really lost all interest in anything you have to say.

So, you got that going for ya.

Adios!

I can cut and quote anything thats said as well...Do you really think I care what your opinion is of anything ????... glad to hear you lost interest finally you said something worth replying to

Peace

Wayne

Didn't BHB just recently have a storm hit their building a week or so ago?
They had to go through major repairs and were way behind schedule.

They deal with hundreds of customers every week... I'm sure they are bound to end up with one unhappy customer. As a customer, yes you are entitled to being treated fairly, but by all means, a company should not need to kiss your :censored: to sell an ivory. They have many customers and if you don't want to buy from them, go somewhere else IMO.
