And one more point. Where do you think the big breeders get a large number of the lower end animals that they supply to Petco and Petsmart? They buy them from smaller breeders in wholesale lots.
I really think everyone needs to take a step back, take a couple of deep breaths and quit recycling unsubstantiated rumors around till there is actually some shred of evidence to support them.
The blog entry on NOHR669 plainly states PIJACS position. You can choose to believe it or not.

No need to overreact yet.
Everyone think about this, if the big name breeders do stop small breeders, who is going to buy from them? Are you going to buy from someone who blatantly screwed over your hobby? What is the point of spending a few grand on a reptile if you cannot breed it? These guys will only be dealing with each other because they will lose their fan base and customers. They have no financial gain.
In reality, the reptile business will go underground. The small time breeders will still do business with each other behind closed doors. No need to spend money on booths when a "tupperware party" will be hosted between friends. This can be a good thing for small time breeders, read carefully between the lines and a loophole will be discovered.
What this thread needs is facts, not ASSumptions. Reading the "I know but won't tell" is getting real old real quick when our hobby is on the line. I say out those who are trying to shut us down.
We can make calls, send e-mails, and stop buying. This will stop within moments, all it takes is those who have names to come forward. Money talks, if big names are involved, they will listen quickly when their bank account is no longer growing and their stock is pilling up in the corners due to lack of sales. Food on their table is just as important as food on ours.
