    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Now be honest you came here first and blasted him and EVERYONE in NJ.So in a way i can see him being mad because of it but he does still owe you the money.So i guess we will see how he takes care of it from here on out.A word of advice though calm down and stop jumping everyone that posts here.That will only get you ignored no matter if he pays you or not.

i understand what you guys are saying. but im not gonna kiss this guys butt just to get money he owes. i have resources in jersey, this guy will pay or deal with the consequenses. its his choice.. i apologized for being a hot head to the right people in private messages. im wont apologize to a guy oviously lying to me. please ive been around the block a few times guys. anyway thanks joe, and others for everything will see what happens......

Okay I have been seeing this go back and forth all day and had plan to stay out of it once all the flaming started. Now a direct question has been ask of me I will answer.
I did get paid after quite some time of going back and forth with him. It got really nasty for a while but I stuck to my guns and went about everything the leagle way. After doing what the law requires on my end I was able to get a payment from him viv PayPal BEFORE I had to take the whole thing to the D.A.
Chris, I am more than willing to help you and tell you what steps you need to take to get your money. But PLEASE do not flame everyone from N.J. on here. I made phone calls to some of these people and although I dont know for a fact if it helped, some offered to talk to him for me and said they would tell him he needed to set things right.
I have been breeding dogs for years before I got in this and was really burn by someone of a certain group. I could not say I would never deal with this group of people again because I have another person from the same type of group who has spent tons of money buying her breeding stock from me. Its just a sad fact of life that sometimes there are people out there who just are not honest. It dont matter who they are or where they are from. :(
Now as for Chris sending dragons without payment...I cant say a thing about this because if he got the same vibes from the man I did then I can see why he done it. When I spoke to him he made sure I knew how well known he was (Allen) how many books he had wrote and how many stores he supplied reptiles to.My thoughts where why would someone this famouse do me wrong. My mistake. It was not till I had got on here that I found out what a mistake I had made. Lesson learn.
I made sure when I posted here that I stated facts. I till have all my emails that I can post to back me up. I will not call anyone names but I will say there is some money issues taken place. My best advice to anyone who wants to sell to him is get your money first and make sure the money is good before you send your reptiles.
And why I never posted anything thing back is because of threats Allen made to me about ever posting on this board again. :kill: I will not go into these because they where all said by phone so I can not show everyone proof. Untill now I decided it best if I just remain a reader only here. Now I just dont care. If he does what he claims so be, I just want to see Chris get his money and everyone on here go back to getting along again.
Chris, once again if you will email me with your phone number or I can email you mine I will explane each step you need to take. Its too much information to place in a posting.

Chris, if the payment is to happen by paypal, you'll need (or rather, want to) ask for 3% or whatever the charge is EXTRA, because on the traditional account, the payee gets charged if more than $500 is moved in one month. This depends on your account type, but I'm assuming it's the same as mine.

B. If he wanted it that way, he should deal with it.
C.If you want to be that much of a pain in the ass to a guy who took 41 dragons off your hands at a price you evidently liked, good luck finding that again. I certainly wouldn't deal with you.
 
so cyberfrog, you stick up for a guy clearly liyin and stalling, not paying his debt. is this the way you do buisness to? or are you in his fanclub to? really how can you approve of such a krappy way to handle a buisness.

yeah took them off my hands alright, AND DIDNT PAY FOR THEM, im sure you would like that to right cyberfrog. why dont you send me some of those boas and ill pay you ,maybe or whenever i get around to it ok buddy...... :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

Are you kidding??? Hey, why don't you send me all the babies you produce this year. I'll pay you double the market value, ok? The only catch is that you've got to be able to track me down and make me pay. Good, then it's a deal. I'll be watching for the big brown truck :rolleyes:

If you read my posts, I have certainly held Chris' feet to the fire regarding the way he has handled this whole thing...from sending the animals first to the way he has treated some on this forum. Honestly, though, that last comment was asinine.
 
Who sends animals before money? I know Al will pay you, not even my point at this juncture. Stuff gets fouled up, big deal. I may be a little aggravated in the same situation after 10 days or so, but you have been stomping this mess across 3 different threads for 3 days, not the kind of customer I need. I personally don't buy animals from wholesalers, just my preference, so I have no personal dealings with Al as a buyer. However, as my prior post said, I have run in the same show circles as Al and haven't ever heard anyone state they weren't paid by him on a deal. You don't stay in business as long as that guy has by not paying people.

MY point was it is indeed agaibnst paypal TOS to charge the buyer the difference and after tha pain in the butt this guy has cause if he tried to do it to me, I'd turn him in to paypal. 2. IF the seller REQUESTED the funds through paypal, he should deal with his loss if a check was originally agreed upon(something else I never do is accept checks). My third point was regarding the fact that if this guy was my customer or vice verse I would never deal with him again. Hope that clarifies.

Cyber, do not take offence but thought I should say Allen refuses to pay for animals before he sees them. His complaint to me was too many people here had burn him by not sending the animals after he had made payment.
 
cyber , did you read the excuses he gave me. cmon man that is the lamest bunch of krap ive ever heard. first hes deadly ill with pneumonia, then the check is lost in the mail, then his dad is on his death bed. :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: . all in one week yeah right. ive sent him paypal info so he can resolve the matter buttt, good ole allen is mia again. so this will continue until my money is given to me. there are other forums i will post on also if he cant do the right thing. very simple. hes gonna be at the hamburg show this weekend. my buddy will talk to him then to see what his problem is. i bet my dragons will be there on sale .its easy to point the finger when your not the one getting ripped off isnt it. you dont like the thread dont click on it. :eek: :eek: :eek:

Adam, Since Al is apparently a friend of yours, or at least a well respected acquaintance, let me propose a simple solution to all this:

Why don't you pay Chris the $1500 that Al owes him, and then you can collect from Al?

Shouldn't be a problem if you're that sure Al is good for it. :shrug01:
