    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Any updates? Has Alan finally made good on your deal or is he still MIA?
 
I have yet to hear anything from him at all.

I still haven't seen him on AIM either. I think something serious may have come up that he's unable to reply. I can't see him just not replying or being seen for weeks.

He either has an ingrown toenail or that gabby tagged him. Not exactly bright to have a hot when you are allergic to AV.
 
Paid for it by Check as per his request do to his bank acount not allowing more then like 10K deposited in it a month or something. I am still in the same place the 6 cages I ordered one free bonus cages that actually has glass! YIPPIE oh wait it doesn't have the hidges, no 6inch base unit, not glass doors, not heating I ordered or lighting. I would hope that here soemthing up if hes disapeared like this and that hes not just hiding.
 
lol The best part is how now instead of my order taking up much needed space I HAVE MY ORDER PLUS SOME! HOT DAMN I"M A LUCKY ONE! I guess the thought was nice but man I seriously need the doors cause I got some bloods that i definatly don't want loose... lol

Well, pigs are still landbound and you're still screwing people over.

I am going to see if he has logged into the server at all. the last few weeks. I will do that tonight when I get home. I usually do not do that as it is none of my business. But if he has not even logged onto his accounts for his sites that would be very very strange and I would think something has happened. NO Reason not to atleast get word out. A phone call to a friend to let everyone know would have worked.

I agree Gary. He may not be the most trustworthy person in the world but it is unlike him to just disapear completely.
 
Ya as far as that goes I am starting to ge ta little concerned his message machine is full and hasn't been checked or hes making sure it stays full. I do hope everything is alright. The only way I hace to contact him is his buisness number, email, adress, and forums. If any one has any other suggestions I'd love to know.
 
Update guys and gals. Nothing horrible has befallen Alan. Through an alternate number I picked up I was able to get in touch with her father who will be relaying and very firm message to Alan whos alive and kicking. His site is still up to my knowledge but he is NOT making cages I have no clue if the money taking portion still works but It needs to get out that nothing is coming out of the shops from what I have heard. He also owes some others Cages who tagged it onto a thread in TRR. Cheers every Body.
 
Well, I saw the TRR thread. Alan blew it big time now. Taking tax payer money from a university and never delivering caging or contacting them.
He's finished now.

Hey bro. THis just plain sucks for you. you do not deserve this at all.

But yes his sites are still up guys. I have to look into if I can just take them down. If I do all his emails then will be down. Not sure but then he may not be able to see all emails if he wants to make this right.

His forums and mod status has been removed from TRR though. That I can controll 100%

SO please do not click and send money for cages as you can see you may not get them.

This is a hard thing for me to post but truth is truth. If Alan's Dad said nothing is wrong then I will have to face facts and say Alan is just ignoring everyone.

This is just mind-boggling.
He put himself in some serious trouble this time.
Even after all the late deliveries, partial orders sent, etc, I never would have thought it would go this far.
