That'll happen from time to time, if you pay close attention, the language of my post on this thread left it pretty clear that I wasn't stating many absolutes.

I am simply no longer going to pay for you to insult me. It's that simple. For a couple years I have paid to sponsor a forum and pay to keep this site going. Who in their right mind would pay to keep something going that is nothing more than a giant pain in the ass? Even Rich Z has said he wanted to walk away and was tired of all the bullshit. Doesn't that speak to the situation?

Ah. I didn't realize that the board forwarded you the HUNDREDS of demanding emails and posts that people wrote over the course of many years commanding Rich to take one action or another. Did you get the death and lawsuit threats too? I know you have *made* some threats like that, but didn't realize anyone had sent them your way.

Does being a forum sponser entitle you to dictate that certain content posted about you be removed? Or should it make you immune as the topic of a negative BOI thread?

Which BOI thread would that be? The one where I wrote a single post giving you an (ignored) chance to clarify your position free of the insults and agression that had characterized your initial posts? Or the thread I haven't responded to? Or some thread from antiquity?

In fact if this site had any moderation at all you would get the little warning points for your attacks and off topic posts.

Besides your continued contention that you're the greatest herper/breeder/dealer/human being to ever live, what exactly is the topic of this thread? I'm not sure it's possible for me to go off topic in a thread that's basically you crying about how the last week and a half hasn't been kind to you and how you stepped in it by being a hothead instead of just fixing it.

I have not asked for any content to be removed, ask the moderators, as I don't care.

The dozens of emails I get every time this happens from people I both do and don't know laughing at this site and how few people now use it reinforces my decision.

BUT, all of the people who have posted good things about me and come to my defense are just that, good people that I have been very pleased to have dealt with.

Some certainly are. I'm not sure about "all." I hadn't really thought about it before it was brought up by someone else, but you do have an awful lot of those stray, first time brand spanking new registered user creating a new thread sort of posts. And they do seem to increase in number around the same time as the, admittedly very few and questionable, posts that would cast you in a negative light. It's not wrong or against the rules to ask your satisfied customers to come and post, but it's long been regarded as a bit... iffy. Especially when every single one of your negative threads and situations was made far FAR worse by your reactions to whatever the situation was. You seem incapable of just sitting down and saying "That's not accurate, and here's why..." without complicating it.

I have been in this business a long time, dealt with a lot of people, done a lot of shows, dealt with a lot of pet shops and still have plenty of happy customers. I have gotten plenty them on this very site. I have been using this site nearly 4 1/2 years and have sold many animals to people using this site.

There it is! I was waiting for that, textbook Evan and, come to think of it, the first thing that made me disinclined to like you on a personal level. Some nearly meaningless little discussion thread where you made a crack about how you had done and knew more than Steve Jordaines ever possibly could. Which is, quite frankly a load of crap- you spend way too much time patting yourself on the back to actually accomplish anything special or unique.

So you would just make a blanket statement that they are all liars or somehow just throwing fake praise on this site for me?

You uh... missed the word "some" Evan. "Some" of your customers seem to have been prompted to create their threads to coincide with negative threads about you. It might be entirely coincidental, but it smells funny.

Soon the BOI will be down to a handful of self righteous, self serving, liars and cheap shot artists who do nothing but sit behind their computer and attack others. Then what will you do with each other?

This is a very good guy, with a family, who was just starting a snake collection and though this site would be a good resource. 16,000 users, most of which are not active and have not used the site on a regular basis ever but signed up to post an add or answer a thread and are gone. This site is dying. Even people in thsi thread that have told you guys they would never use the BOI or other parts of the site don't get your attention. Even emails from other forum sponsors and other paid members telling me this is an example of why the don't post here anymore.
