    =====================

I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

hello :) i have heard many things about lllreptile but i ordered a baby nicaraguan boa from them tuesday night. he arrived 950am on wednesday. he was cold from no heat pack but, once we got him warm he was and is very alert, loving, and gorgeous!! thank you lllreptile!!

Its always a bit of a gamble with them but I'm glad to hear the animal is ok. That's what matters and congrats on ur new pet!

While I haven't ordered from them for a few years now, the several snakes and chameleon I ordered arrived safe and sound and as beautiful as can be..
However the male carpet python I ordered turned out to be a female.. No biggie, just meant buying another one

Glad to hear you receive an animal you are happy with. Like the above posts say, when ordering snakes from them, it is most likely going to be healthy but it it also somewhat likely to have mites. On multiple occasions I have asked to hold snakes, at two different stores, and had the little buggers crawling on my hand afterward.

My advice: Invest in some good mite treatment prior to buying the snake just in case. I like LLL but would never buy a snake from them. Lizards tend not to have the horribly contagious mite issues snakes do but still good to inspect.

I didn't feel like this deserved it's own thread so I'm just tacking on here. In case you were wondering, the most recent mite experience I had was yesterday as the Menifee store, holding a Children's Python.

I ordered a Rufous beaked snake from LLL a few weeks ago & it died within a week. I emailed them with a pic of the dead snake. They gave me credit on another snake & shipped it to me after xmas hols. Seems fine so far. All i had to pay was $25 shipping. Very pleased with LLL so far.

Let's see. it's dropping into the 30s here on the west coast and they shipped without a heat pack. Lows in Escondido were below 30 last week...sweet.

Rhamphiophis are fairly bulletproof and are an imported species that handles the pressure and stress of being caught and shipped from east Africa. Nice that they credited you for the snake, but it takes a certain screwed up skill to get one of these to the point that they die when shipped to a customer.

Yeah she refuse food & was dead within a week, very thin & lethargic. I have others that are doing great, just bad luck i guess.

Just ask webslave, he's got his nose so far up LLL's ass it's incredible. He'll edit any negative post against them.

And why exactly would I do that? LLL is not, and never has been, an advertiser here, much less a contributing member, and from what I have seen RARELY ever even posts here. When I was in the business, I never bought from nor sold to them. So please, pray tell, why would I have my "nose so far up LLL's ass"? And as for me editing negative posts about them, sorry, but that just is not true and you know that. But obviously you are not above making bald faced lies in public.

Seems to me that perhaps LLL has stuck a red hot poker up your ass, and perhaps that has clouded your thinking because the heat is way too close to your brain down there. But whatever, thanks for the chuckle.

Yes Mrs. McTrolling, That's why anyone can do a search on this site and pull up all the negative and posted posts and threads about LLL since the beginning of this site. Takes 5 seconds to do a search. Nothing deleted.

Matter of Fact, there is one negative titled thread for LLL that some wanted removed because of the title. The thread starter didn't find what she was looking for in reaction to her post. people wanted the title changed. Rich responded to that with why it wouldn't be changed even though he thought the claimed lacked merit as well.

That is a direct post to prove the very opposite of what you just stated about this very company and Rich.

The response

Robyn, yes, I realize it doesn't seem fair, but there are reasons behind my leaving such things "as is". Firstly, this is because of valued legal advice I have received on how to maintain a legally neutral posture for myself and the moderators in relation to what is posted in this forum. By editing a thread title, the editor then becomes a co-author of that thread, and if litigation would result (you never know how these things will go), the editor could legitimately be named as a defendant in a lawsuit.

Secondly, editing is a double edged sword when it comes to credibility. Although it would be nice to edit obvious mistakes, not only in judgement by the poster, but also in corrections of content as well for accuracy, the realization that edits ARE taking place invariably leads to the question of how much you are reading is actually a true and accurate reflection of what the original poster typed in. Most people HIGHLY resent the words that they own here being changed by someone else, and therefore NOT being what they actually said at all.

I believe most people would assume that the title line is merely a come-on anyway, so anyone truly interested in what was being said about the subject of the thread would READ the thread for it's content, and not take for granted that the title tells the total story without any further elaboration.

Welcome back, btw.... :)

Doing a very simple search I found 9 negative threads for them and 14 positive ones. With both positive and negative posts within them. Go figure.

Sorry Mrs. Trolling, there is no such deletion. All the negative and positive threads ever posted here in the correct forum, titled with the person(s) or company name in the subject heading, posted by someone with their full name in the profile, is still here on this site for everyone to read with no editing.

I ordered a pair of Elgaria kingi from LLL about a month ago. They have done really well, eating well and have good body condition. Happy with my purchase from them.

I will never buy from LLL again, their wild caught stock is terrible. Of the three beaked snakes i got from them, 2 rufous & 1 red headed, all 3 would not eat & died.
I have had many beaks from other vendors & most did great. LLL is a terrible company to buy wld caught from, cb will be ok or lizarde perhaps but wc snakes? forget it.
Awful husbandry, or rather the lack of it.
LLL SUCK!

Hmm, may as well chip in here
I actually physically visited their brand new store in San Diego 1 day after it was opened and it was a HUGE improvement on their old store which I also visited, really clean and fresh and modern...which it should have been as it was brand new, this was approx 3 years ago
I hand picked a Madagascar Giant Hognose and had them ship it back to my house in Florida
He was and is perfect in every way but I stress I was able to hand pick the example myself,so people just ordering online may not be so lucky in what they receive.

All I can say is that my experience was positive and based on that if they had something I wanted I would buy again at this stage

Just wanted to add my experience with LLL to this.

I made a decent wholesale order for a pet store and was generally happy with the animals, but disappointed with shipping. This was in November, and temps were well within the safe range. However, all of the animals were lethargic and cold to the touch upon arrival. One fire skink was DOA, but the rest came around after heating up. A very young blue-tongued skink refused food until it passed. The rest of the reptiles and inverts were fine and healthy, but we did not order from them again.

I haven't purchased any animals from LLL, but I order tons of supplies from there. They always ship within a day or two and my orders arrive with no issues. I think something was missing once and they shipped it right away with no hassle. I probably order at least 5 times a year, but probably more often.

Same here, once a missing bulb, resent without issues. I am sorry to hear that some of the WC snakes didn't work out so well. I hope they address that issue because there aren't enough good companies to buy imports from as it is.

I've always had good luck with LLL, nice to work with and I've never had an issue.
