    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

What would you do?

Lets say you have a really nice super pastel female that is not assigned and you are trying to decide what to breed to her, which would you pick out.

Champagne (half clutch (breeder loan) = champagne, pastel champagne
desert = pastel, pastel deserts
spinner = spinner blast, lemon blast, bumblebee
calico = pastel, pastel calico
specter = pastel, pastel specter
xtreme super blast = super pastel, super pastel xtreme, xtreme super pastel, xtreme super blast
fire dinker = pastel, pastel dinker, firefly, firefly dinker
vanilla ghost = pastel het ghost, vanilla pastel het ghost

I cant see thinking about any of my recessive stuff because thats just kinda a waste. So what are your picks and why?:shrug01:

Geez! Hard to wrong with all those nice boys. I think I would do an eenie meenie between the Desert and the Champagne. Good luck with whatever you decide!

Hmm hard to choose. I really like the calico stuff so that's one choice. Champagne pastels are nice too. So are desert pastels. Specters are sweet too. Lol. So I've been no help at all :D

You can't go wrong with any male you choose.

Champagne (half clutch (breeder loan) = champagne, pastel champagne #1 PICK
desert = pastel, pastel deserts #2 PICK
calico = pastel, pastel calico#3 PICK

JUST A THOUGHT

see champagne was going to be the guy but 1/10 champagnes have a nervous tic like a spider. Take that and a half clutch getting second pick. If you end up with one that has the tic, keep and oss breed the tic into something else, or sell having the rep of selling animals with it? Dollar wise, pastel deserts are around the same dollar value and fit into more projects than champagnes. If it get the xtreme gene everything will be super and the xtreme gene is going for a ton (too much) right now. Specter pastels are a lot of money and there to give pastel superstripes. Pastel vanilla het ghosts fit in a lot of my projects and would sell. Now if that fire dinker proves out when bred this season to mom that would be the most bang for buck. That would give firefly dinkers (probably hets) to push that way ahead. So now with that what are your thoughts?

Randy although the champagne would be high on the list having to split the clutch knocks it waaaay down. I love the looks of deserts and combos, but I'm staying away from that project because the whole female fertility debate. I love pastel calicos and the fire dinker has a big upside also. If that dinker proves out you'll be way ahead on your holdbacks. Good Luck Chris

X - Champagne would be pastel and pastel champagne...and screw the breeding loan with it's second pick. Not worth it, IMO.
X - vanilla ghost - don't like ghosts, wouldn't breed them (you did ask why)
X - desert - there are a few nice desert combos, pastel doesn't seem worth the trouble
? - spinner - not a bad option if you're just looking for stuff to sell, or you want any of the babies; but low on the list
? - calico - decent choice
? - xtreme super blast - I don't know what this is (or what the difference is between an xtreme super pastel and a super pastel xtreme...seems like they would be the same, but I don't want to make any assumptions), but it seems like a worthwhile clutch
~ - specter - specters by themselves don't do anything for me, so (for me) there's no sense making more of them...but if you're just looking for stuff to sell, or if you want a pastel specter - why not :shrug01:
? - fire dinker - depends on the look of both snakes

? - xtreme super blast - I don't know what this is (or what the difference is between an xtreme super pastel and a super pastel xtreme...seems like they would be the same, but I don't want to make any assumptions), but it seems like a worthwhile clutch

sorry only one of those was suppose to be there. Ken Macek and Brad Boa are the ones working with this x-treme gene. Here is a list of them off Ken's site. I will put a picture up as soon as my cameras battery is charged tonight or tomorrow

male X-TREME new codom morph $4500 CUTTING EDGE PROJECT
female X-TREME $3500
male SUPER X-TREME BUTTER unbelievable looking $6500
male X-TREME YELLOWBELLY $6000

I personally would go with the hypo vanilla, as I love hypo stuff and, the more I think about things, I just personally like codom x recessive projects better.

Randy, if you have the xtreme super blast that would be the first choice for me to the super pastel. Good luck no matter what route you decide.

First off, if she is a super pastel female, everything will have the pastel gene.

Second...desert. :)

Oops...re-reading, I realize you only messed up the options for the first breeding. My bad.

Champ x s. pastel would yield pastels and pastel champagnes.

Vanilla Ghost. Cant go wrong there.
or
Xtreme Super Blast (got any pics?) Young project... lets see what it can do on other combos. I personally think the super xtreme lesser is the best example of the morph so far.

here is a older picture of the x-treme superblast. Everytime I try and get new pictures of him he is in shed. He is my hardest snake to get pictures of because of his shades. Plus I don't really take a lot of pictures anyways.
