    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

I had this lesser female 2 month ago. She was sold to me as 1100 gram. I knew I need to keep her alone for 6 month before I can introduce any male to her. I thought I will have lots of time to get her up to 1500 grams+ in 6 month.

She was all by herself. She shed 2 weeks ago. And today, I found her lay like this

What happen to her? Ready to leg eggs?? or Sick??

Thanks

she looks like a female that is laying inverted from building follicles. that being said, you did not introduce a male to her. did the past owner introduce her to any males? whats hot spot temp? tub size? is she showing any signs of IBD? keep her quarantined for a few months to see whats going on.

She could be growing follicles, since she was not introduced to a male she will just absorb them.

Thanks

She is on the cooler side right now. She was on the hot spot last night and she just ate a big small rat 3 days ago.

The temp is 89 hot, 78 cool. Room temp is 76 but inside the tub always higher. I check temp at least 5 times ago.

so should I breed her?

This is a pain. It is almost the end of breeding season now. If I breed her right now, does it mean she will always breed this time of the year? every year? Can she breed early next year?

Thanks again

Personally, I'd stick with your original plan and wait 'til next season.

She is an 09 and now weight almost 1400 gram.

The ex owner told me she is ready to breed and she can smell the male in her room before he sold her to me. But when I knew her weight is only 1100 gram I already decided not to breed her this year, and that is why I bought her, because I want her to be up size for next year. But I don't want to breed her next year this time. a bit too late.

then will she breed the same time next season? This late? I am not sure if my male will last this long if I let them breed from Dec or Jan

Thanks

i would just wait. it can be hard to breed when you are caught off guard. when you start introducing december/january like you want to, you will have a lot better success than introducing the male now.

Thanks. so I have chance to breed her early next year right? That is actually what I want. I don't want to breed her this time of the year. I am just afraid this will be the time for her to be ready next year. :(

From what I understand of it, she's just making follicles, and if you don't breed her she'll just reabsorb them, unless she was bred to a male by the person you got her from.

Plus, if she is sick and you introduce a male to her, you risk contaminating him.

So I say let her chill out on her own and wait until next breeding season, just to be on the safe side. I don't know if there'll be any effect on when she'll breed in the future though. 'Course I'm not anywhere near an expert in these matters, so feel free to disregard or correct any misinformation, this is just what I've gathered having read around and such.

Thanks buddy !!! I rather do you that way too. And that is the reason I bought her. I am still so excited if she is building. Then this is my first time seeing it !!! WOW

She should take to males if you cool her in october and start pairing in november. So no worries!!
