    =====================

I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

These racks are between 1-2 years old. I have two types of racks available, and they all include the tubs for them. I will NOT ship them, but might consider assisting with a local delivery, otherwise they are being sold for pick-up only. I am located in Madison, Wisconsin.

Sideways Blanket-box Racks (back heat, holds Rubbermaid tubs) - Six available
$200 each (tubs included) or all six for $1000

Sterilite Shoe-box Racks (belly heat) - Five available
$225 each (tubs included) or all five for $1000

For additional details, please click here.

If interested, please send me an email: [email protected]
or call (608) 288-0027.
Serious inquiries only, please.

As of today, all of the racks are still available.

I will consider delivering them within 4-5 hours of Madison, WI depending on the number of racks purchased (I'm not driving to Dubuque to deliver one rack! :hehe: ). However, any potential deliveries must be paid in advance, and won't be made until after my last final exam which is May 11th.

Thanks.

PM sent, Paul. :)

Hey Cathy,

If you buy all those racks, I have a enclosed trailer to haul them with and my fees are negotiable. :) :)

LOL, if I bought all of those racks, I'd have to remove furniture from somewhere to find room for them all.

I'll just STORE all the ones you don't have room for. LOL

:raspberry Yeah sure, I'll just bet you would "store" them....does that mean when I'd make room for them, I could just come pick them up with whatever happened to be inside them at the time? :hehe:

No worries, Bill. :) ...And I think I can fit all of racks except two of the sweater boxes in my mom's urban assault vehicle. Or, I could just put them all on the car-hauler and pull it behind the lawn mower all the way to Iowa.

I'd love to see that!! Better pack a lunch. LOL!!

Just an update...

I still have five of the blanket/sweater box racks and three of the shoebox racks available. I can bring them to the Lee Watson's swap on the 21st (two weeks from now) if that helps any.

Thanks.

(oh, and please... don't contact me trying to negotiate a bottom dollar on what I would sell them for and then fall off the face of the Earth, especially if your name is Hank. I really don't have time for tire-kickers, but if you're willing to actually rotate my tires for me, well... then that I might consider.) :dgrin:

Hi Scott, I replied to both of your emails but they kept bouncing back.

All of the shoebox racks have been sold or are spoken for, and one of the blanet box racks is spoken for, so that leaves five of the blanket box racks left.

Thanks.

Thanks Paul,

Were you interested at all in a possible trade or not?
Could you try emailing me at [email protected] again to see if it works?
I have some emails out with some breeders and am wondering why I am not receiving any replies. I am possibly interested in your blanket box racks. I work with Josh Wilson and had told him about your racks for sale. I see he picked some up.

Thanks,
Scott McKillips

Hey Paul

How many boxes are in the blanket boxes? (how many can it hold?) How many 12 qt boxes can it hold?

Also, if anyone falls through on the shoeboxes, I'd like first dibs please :) I would need them delivered as i work too much to drive out there myself, but we are in Wauk, not too far of a drive. I can throw ya a couple bucks for gas as well.

Thanks!

Hey Scott, I just sent you a new email. For some reason, it was coming through from "[email protected]" -- there wasn't a "y" in it. I have no idea how that happened. Anyway, please let me know if you don't get the new email. Thanks.

Hey Des, the blanket box racks each hold either 6 of the blanket boxes (I can't figure out how many quarts they are--all of the labels are gone!) or 12 of the sweater boxes. Here's a link to their info. on Boaphile's site: http://www.boaphileplastics.com/sideblanketrack.html
I'll let you know if any of the shoebox racks become "re-available".

I have more tubs than will fit in the racks and basically whomever buys the last of the racks can have all of the remaining tubs as I don't use the Rubbermaids any more. Oh, and for the Rubbermaid racks, I have lids for all of the tubs since the racks didn't come with them originally. I've found they come in handy when moving racks & tubs with animals in them around.

Thanks!

Sold

All of the racks have now been sold.

Big thanks to all of the great people who bought them. I really appreciate dealing with such nice people. :)
