steven crows side is needed and if he does not post, nothing will be accomplished here. that in itself however doesnt say alot for him either.
Great point Greg! There was probably something wrong with that ball python in the first place. Something that Michael maybe missed upon initial inspection of the animal, as he was happy with her.
As far as Micah’s statement:
I will say Mike is not the kind of guy to send out a sick snake.
You seem to know Michael, and I do trust your judgment. Nevertheless Michael was reading this thread yesterday and today, and apparently he didn’t care to state
what was the vet’s diagnostic of the boa’s ailment.
The snake was not a granite as advertised, only 18" long instead of 2-3' and shipped priority usps mail says alot about this transaction. sounds like 3 strikes right there.
Yes Micah, I’m in absolute agreement with you. Misrepresentations on the looks of the snake maybe because of lack of experience, but misrepresentation none the less. There was also misrepresentation on the length of the python, and a big no-no as far as shipping practices.
There’s no possible defense on Steven’s side of the deal, and maybe that’s why he is not posting in the first place.
It should have been returned at that point but i'm sure Mike was happy to just get another female bp for future projects, to put a snake back through shipp after it was bounced around in a box for a few days is not fair for the snake, whos to say it would not have died back in transit and then Steve would have blamed Mike.
Yes, I’m in agreement again with your interpretation. The fact is that Steve is actually blaming Mike as he is asking for payment for his dead ball python.
Mike do you have any of the emails he sent you? I wouldn't do a thing until I saw a complete ledgible vet report.
And again Micah is asking the question that has been now posted for the fourth time.
Mike, you were in this thread last night and earlier today. Maybe you didn’t have time to reply to that question (vet’s diagnostic). Your silence is having the same effect as Steven’s in the dead ball python issue. Was the ailment something that could’ve been contracted at your place? Something wrong with her mouth like a lost tooth can easily happen in one day or even during shipping.
Now, if the diagnostic is mouth rot or URI this is telling us a different story as they take more time to develop. Your initial post said the following:
Anyway he said it it had a broken tooth or something was wrong with his mouth, and i told him if he was unhappy to send it back, well he said no im not unhappy i just want him to be healthy.
You stated “a broken tooth or something was wrong with his mouth”, that’s quite vague considering there’s a veterinarian report in your hands and probably Steven e-mails letting you know what the exact condition is.
This thread is not reflecting well in Steven for sure. So far we know we can’t trust his shipping methods as well as the way he represents his animals. Mike posted a completely unreadable vet report and did not care to let us know what it said. With his silence he is not helping himself either.
There’s no doubt Mike probably received a ball python in sub-par condition as it would take only an “accident” to kill a juvenile ball python in just 4 days. The question that still remains in my head is if Steven received a sick boa from him, the vet report will help clarify that. Most of us do a lot of trading and buying on the WWW and would like to know who we can trust.
Thanks
