    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yes, there is an existing bad guy thread 30 plus pages here on Fauna Classifieds regarding "RJ's Exotics" character, Rob-your money- Gagnon. I have been buying some of Rob's stuff from him recently because he is out of business and I have been dealing with him even before the bad guy thread occurred to me. Whenever there was a small problem, he would immediately fix it perfectly. Although I guess when someone is running out of their last amounts of animals and still want/need money, they sell their last batch of invisible inventory and send it all in their invisible box since they have obviously hit the dead end of everything. Ever since I saw that bad guy thread it had made sense to me why he does not attend Hamburg fluently, post on the sites, website is down, etc, so I began to use extreme caution with him regarding his questionable "great blow out deals". And believe it or not, every last thing I got from him, such as batches of retic morphs, ball pythons, monitors and a couple other little things, all came in good shape, and was all feeding, not a scale out of place, etc. So I thought I would have him send me groups of reptiles with no money advance, check them out when they arrived up and down, and then send said amount either by Western Union or money order which was working out great. Recently Rob has informed me that he has 8 albino boa babies he bred with the het siblings and some albino ball pythons he needs to push that his buddy bred. So the deal was that he would send the 8 albinos as I just would not trust any sort of hets from him, and the albino ball pythons and would check them all out upon arrival. When I was out having dinner, I get a call from the Rob(ber) saying about the following after viewing one of my ads on kingsnake..... You have a black headed python right now, I really need one for someone over here (showing a lot of excitement in it), so I basically said, yea man just obtained it a couple weeks ago, wonderful animal -- so then he starts in saying you know how about this, some of those albino boa babies can go towards your black head and you wouldn't owe me on all of them. So, judging by the simple fact that I have paid for animals from him and always received them, traded animals with him and the trade went perfect every time, and have requested fronted stuff from him upon arrival and always have received those animals, I said, hey... why not!

BIG MISTAKE!!! ....

We both agree to shipping to the usual addresses overnight yesterday (Friday) for Saturday arrival, about $20 to $25 more for that delivery day, didn't matter. I was going to ship after I hear that they have already shipped my animals out, so I get a call from Rob saying, Your snakes were just sent with UPS, Jen shipped them out and he quoted the total $60.00. I said great, what's the tracking number? He says, oh she has not gotten it yet, (has taken a while in the past experiences to obtain it from his end) once she does she will call me and I will call you with it. I said, uhh, do you have her number? He said her phone is down, but gives me the house number. Now the time for overnight orders to go out is coming very close so I said I'm going to send your black head out and I need that tracking number as soon as possible!! He says, Not a problem bro and that is when I had a bad feeling, but trusted the long, long past of transactions.

So I shipped via UPS to the following address...

I, as always, get my tracking number from the guys at the UPS store and texted it to him (his computer is down). Right before the snake went out I spoke with Rob on the phone to confirm address and whatnot. After I ship I gave him a call back saying along the following, here's the tracking number and time it will arrive via UPS and also text it to him. Right when he received the damn tracking number, this piece of crap NEVER SENT ME ONE EFFIN SNAKE!! I get a text from Rob saying the following..... Jen didn sendglad done dealing w you. WHAT??? :2gunsfiri That's after the tracking number even shows it arrived on time to their door!! And even if I didn't send any anything and he was being scammed, he still claimed she shipped and even lied a total cost to me, and in reality she never did! :icon_bs: :icon_bs: :icon_bs:

He is a damn snake, I guess he was out of stuff, so resorted to pulling the chair out on me, costing me a black head, and trust. BEWARE OF THIS DESPERATE PIECE OF SCUM!!! I truly believe Jen Gagnon to be a robot or just a retard! As she does whatever Rob tells her to do, in this case, screwing a long time customer over! I do understand he is considered a scammer before for sending sick, mis-described animals but he has always sent something, even if unhealthy in horrible packaging. But now he has entered the complete scam path. :hot:

I find it funny, because on his bad guy thread this bucket of trash claimed to have made half a million to even more a year, and he calls me here and there asking for money or selling things half of what he got them to "save his ass" as he calls it!

I am just curious, did you get the adult female albino, het stripe I paid for? He kept telling me, after shipping me something I would NEVER ask/pay for, "Just send them back for a full refund." .... Are you sh!#ing me?!?! How about sending my money first. He said thanks for saying all those bad things about me. All I did was state the facts as they occurred. I finally after many months cleared up the mites he sent me and I was able to put some appropriate weight on the 2 BABIES I did not want so I can sell them. Anyways I do not wish to open old wounds Im just still really pissed about spending what little money I make with a P.O.S. like RG.

I actually was never offered that adult albino you are referring to. He is not to be trusted and a complete POS as you stated it. All day long he has his cell either turned off, or ignores the calls. Even his house isn't being picked up, I guess Jenniffer is being ordered to hide under the table when phone rings there. I would find it very entertaining for this Robber to come to the site and explain himself watching him dig a deeper hole, but I guess he wouldn't want to as he owed too many people sums of money and/or reptiles!!!! BEWARE!

It sucks that there are those out there who would ruin the trust that people put in others! You got the address, maybe people who have been screwed should start some door knocking to find out where the heck all their snakes are at least their money is)
 
Misunderstanding.... Good News....

Seems everything was a misunderstanding. I finally got in touch with Rob and his next door neighbor receieved the snake. So the snake was really shipped from my end, just didn't go to him. I posted this because all I got in words was saying Jen didnt ship and what I would pull this sh**. So when I heard that and kept trying to reach him the first thing that hit my head was I just lost out. I guess I can say I still to this day have good confidence in our transactions.

I have known Rob for over 6 years and have been in his stores many times and have always been impressed by him and his inventory. Sure he has some sick animals, when you are dealing with a high volume of animals from different suppliers they are going to get sick. Rob has over 20 large animals and has had them for over five years, I think he knows how to take care of his animals. His last move to the "garage" was not because he was hurting and running out of money it was a planned we are going to close for now. He was just sick of the few people being babies. The cost of running the plaza store was extremely high and it was a step he wanted to try and from what I saw he had a awesome store but many long nights and headaches. For all of the negative remarks mostly posted by the same few guys or gals has no weight to the thousands of happy customers that have used RJ's. Why would you post things on Robs personal life and hobbies on a site for reptiles I personally think that there would be better things to talk about. It sounds to me that you have nothing better to do and you get turned on slandering others. If you had a problem with Rob that was so bad why did you do business with him again. Maybe the problem was not that big and you just like the drama of it all. Hopefully Rob will have a change in heart and open another awesome store in the future. I know he had many happy customers that would use him again because I am one of them. Hi Peter,

If you read my original post you would see I specifically mentioned many times that I have never had a problem with Rob once in any transaction, up until the one this thread is occurring to. Now, I got a call from him, it was all a misunderstanding but you can see where I am at in this position starting it. I get no calls, no texts, nothing. Only thing I got was bad texts calling ME the scammer which really ticked me off. So I can sort of say, Rob would think I would try to beat him after the long business and friend relationship as appose to it all leaning on me as to say "how can you assume Rob who was always good to you do that." But it was the lack of response that got in my head like, damn, I just got beat. I do understand I have had a long business relationship with Rob but to be honest, anything can happen so this is not meant to be a stab in Rob's back. I'm glad I got that call from him saying great news, the snake was at my neighbor's house. It felt horrible the couple days thinking Rob would do that, and apparently he hasn't. I am states away from Rob, so a phone call is all I have to cling to when a bad situation like this is occurring. It is easier for you Peter, since you are probably just a walk away from him so anything can be resorted anytime, and shipping isn't a priority if you both were to have a transaction. Rob apparently does not want the black head so will send him back, not a problem. I am still waiting for him to ship my black head out though, it has been about 2 shipping days or so since he knew the misunderstanding and has had my address. I realize he is extremely busy over there, when I receive that black head I will be sure to end the thread saying that Rob has sent him back and all is well. I already did bring a very bright positive light on the situation with my quick follow up post upon receiving that phone call. Like I said numerous times, I trust that everything will work out and as long as it does, up until this day I have never had a problem with Rob, except for a giant misunderstanding. Take care!

I stated I NEVER did have a problem with him, I do not know where you are coming from assuming I did and ate the bullet and kept on moving. Rob has always been the best to me!! And as far as liking the drama of it, c'mon man. If I knew the snake was at his neighbor's or at least got a call or a text saying, don't worry I will look into it, because he could have been completely calm and looked into it as his snakes were still in his possesion. I realize his points of view of certain people which is why I never let those comments effect our business. I did bring greater caution into them but never would just run from him as I personally was witnessing some completely healthy, awesome stuff at great prices!!

I wouldn't be suprised, however I am pretty sure Rob is just at the end of everything and is just leaving the hobby with people's honest money and/or animals! It is a damn shame that now im gonna have to involve authorities im not letting this guy Rob me of stuff. Im just in shock after all the years he would pull this! :confused:

i am local to rob. i have had 1 run in with him and it was a not described type of deal. a few years ago i started getting into balls. he sold me a normal female around 1200 g for like 100$ it didnt eat for like 3 months. he swore up n down it came from cvexotics. i contacted scott and found out scott has never delt with rob, nor sold him anything. he was selling animals that came from scott which usually came from nerd. he was using scotts name to sell animals and get more money for the animals. he swapped out the snake for a smaller female that was fine. but i wanted to let you know that word is around here in nh area is that rob is opening a new store. if you want to email me you can and i can let you know if it happens. I do not see how he can open a new store when he owes so many people animals and/or money. It is just crazy. He doesnt stop coming back. I highly doubt he will have the nerve and balls to do that, although most unsatified customers are over the internet. Please email me if indeed he does, thank you.

i will. but i was at cv exotics with my friend deb, picking up the weekly feeders. and rob sold my friend deb a pied,2 albinos 2 spiders a bee and som normal females and said they came from scott, the animals are awsome and perfectly healthy. she got them last yr, but deb wanted to verify that they came from scott. she had her recipt with her n everything from rob. so we got on the topic of him and scott said he heard from some one close to rob they were planning on doing another store. i will let you know if this happens. shoot me your email [email protected]
