    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

  • Responding to email notices you receive.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I purchased a snake from Regen Pruitt May 10 2012 and received her May 17 with much disappointment. The box was sent uninsulated, was sold to me as 1700g weighed in at 1104g "first picture" and very skinny, had an RI, Cloaca Infection, Mouth infection. I tried contacting Regen the minute i received the snake I tried calling him and left a message explaining my concerns of the snake but his phone was off and eventually it seemed the service was turned off. Before i received the snake he was very cooperative and easy to get in touch with. I did not get a response from him until May 18 first 2-3 pictures and haven't heard from him since. I chose to take the snake to the vet due to his declining condition and lack of response and cooperation from the seller "bill pic 4." The total was $113.44 for the vet examination and meds. I will also provide documentation from the vet of the snakes condition if needed Dr. Jill P. O'Brien from Mattapoisett Animal hospital described the snake: was skinny, mouth infection, cloaca infection and prescribed Baytril. Pic 5 shows the cloaca and pic 6 shows how skinny she is and the ones after are the transaction emails.

I want to make this situation right for both parties and i feel i need to warn people about Regen Pruitt. Until the seller takes responsibility for this sale this BOI will stand.

Regardless of the seller taking responsibility or not, this BOI post/thread will stand. BOI posts/threads are not removed in accordance with the BOI rules & regulations.

IMO, the seller did not disclose crucial information prior to the sale and is therefore quite deserving of your warning post.

I also notice multiple names/email addresses in the before & after the sale correspondence - those alone wave red flags.

I see "regen pruitt" at "[email protected]" after you received the snake and notified the seller of your valid concerns.

Prior to the actual sale, during the negotiations, I see the Paypal of "regenia pruitt [email protected]". Ladygame - that would be female, as would the name Regenia.

Her texts/emails to you before the sale came from "[email protected]".

IMO, that's just too many ID's for one transaction. That's someone to watch, be wary of and avoid.

I do commend you for taking the snake to the vet - you obviously have more compassion and ethics than the seller and deserve compensation.

Yes there were 3 different emails linked to this sale
1: [email protected] was the paypal email
2: [email protected] was the original sale email
3: [email protected] was the only email he responded to after i received the snake, i also stated in my response that he needed to respond to me in the original email we made the agreement of sale.

In regards to the post/forum I do understand this is permanent and I feel what he has done is wrong in every way and people should know what he has done. But would give him some leniency if he can at the least pay for this snakes vet bills... Or even offer a refund after the snake has been nursed to health. But the whole lack of communication really stumps any of those negotiations.

In response to Shadera Regen stated over the phone that the snake was a virgin i almost wish the snake had dropped eggs because that would explain why she was so skinny for her length.

That was my first thought when I saw the pic of her stretched out. She looks deflated, like my girls do before taking their first "post-lay meal". Sorry to hear about your transaction, but I'm very glad to see the warning about this seller, and I sincerely hope that she (your new snake) does a complete turnaround for you!

They also stated she was 1700 grams and healthy. :shrug01:

Either way, your seller should be busting their hump to make this right. I'm interested in hearing the reasons for shipping an animal out in that condition and thinking it's okay. Does he/she know this is here?
 
Yeah i did inform him i wrote up a negative BOI under his name. I would like to hear what he has to say also i thought maybe this would spark some conversation.. Still nothing through emails either.
 
The reason I ask is because "pruittsdg" "Regina Pruitt" was using a youtube account named "LA5TYMEZ" Which just so happens to match a username here that has posted from the exact same IP address.

All the accounts below belong to the same person errr household. Two claim to be a couple.

One gave a positive transaction to the other on their user profile and two share the same month and day birthday. The other account states she is the girlfriend of the other user.

Also to note, they were caught using someone else's picture in their ads deceptively and this was his response to me.

Anyway, they all share the same computer "wifi", and this account "pruittsdg" has been using a youtube account called " LA5TYMEZ"

The stink couldn't get any higher.

well anyway ill be on the look out for those emails if i come across any on craigslist ill be sure to post the ads and emails up if that will help out any
 
woooooow...People do go thru great lengths to pull off the scam. Its unbelievable but not suprising at the time and effort some people take just to scam others. But in this hobby sometimes the animals pay more dearly then the scammed buyer. Dennis..great work man. Ill say once and ill say it again. When this community of good guys pulls together i would hate to be on the recieving end. Kyle....looks like that ball is on its way to recovery. Thank you for the PROPER and organized manner of this warning. And honestly its a good thing you got her cause now she can be healthy and in a proper home. Sucks for the vet bill and the stress but....it all turned out well in the end. Hope she stays well and healthy.
 
Wow Dennis if i only knew.... Thank you for pointing this out to others, and linking all that information to two people. Its sickening what people do just for a couple bucks. I really hope all this catches up to him in the end he should be charged with fraud... Maybe this needs to be taken to the next level and give the nypd a call? Im just glad the snake is in my hands now and i hope for a complete turnaround. The vet is very cooperative and willing to help me out if things hit the fan.
