    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Several months ago this user and I agreed to a partial trade of my male 600 gram orange ghost + $300 cash for his female spider (forgot the weight on her). This fell through in January as the money I was expecting to get didn't happen and then I lost my job. I had already sent the orange ghost to him as "deposit" to hold the spider, so he has him and last I heard he was doing great and he was planning which females to put him in with. The plan then was, I asked him if he had anything eq in value to the ghost to send me, since he already had him and I didn't want him back. He said he is expecting some bees, and he will do it for a 2010 female bee, which was more than fair, so I agreed to that. That was the last I heard from him, and it was over a month ago. I have sent 3 emails and 2 or 3 PMs via Fauna to him, and have had no reply, and I see that he has logged on and browsed.

What to do? *sigh*
 
Yes... Gmail formats them kind of strangely so let me wade through that and then post them

Hatch what out? I was asking for simple communication, and simple respect to not ignore me for over a month. It takes less than 60 seconds to type out a quick line to someone to let them know you have not forgotten them.

Since you were told a 2010 bee would be sent you should not reasonably expect anything until October. Most lay in June and July so this is a little early for a bad guy post especially since the orignal plan changed and they were willing to work something out with you.
 
Wow I don't see why it takes a month to say hey bees will be here in a few more months hang tight buddy... but then again IMO the BAD GUY thread was in bad taste.. we all know their here FOREVER. Why don't you guys set up a time frame for comunication... like when the female ovulates, lays and the eggs pip... then he isn't having to mail you 6 times every month and you are still in the loop on where everything is at?
 
I agree... this should not have been posted... Maybe a Missing Person Thread would have been a better action to take since he sincerely hasn't done anything wrong so to speak... A Month isn't that bad, I mean.. yeah.. he should have responded and let you know where things stand, but to post a Bad Guy Thread was a little over the top IMO!! Hopefully people will read this through if they decide to do business with either one of these people because it would be a shame to ruin someone's rep with a premature Bad Guy Thread! Keep us posted to let us know if things turn out OK!
 
Sorry I did not end up posting the emails and they would have clarified that he said his female had laid, and the bee was due to hatch in March and be ready shortly thereafter. In other words, the bee he promised me should be either just hatched or hatching any day now-- an updated would be nice. The one email I said I got from him 6 days ago has been the only one, I responded to it within 5 minutes and have not heard anything from him, again.
 
Well then post the proof maybe were wrong about this being premature?? Maybe he is having serious troubles?? Who knows what's done is done now you've got to post up the emails and let him explain his side of things.
 
That makes the situation a little clearer... I think an INFO thread would have suited your purpose even better though.. Has he contacted you at all lately? If not... If you have his phone number or address maybe someone local would be able to help you out!! Other then that.. not sure what else to tell you but hopefully it all works out for you!!

hey i literally just walked in, he arrived around 11am .my wife opened
the box he was extreemly cold the heat pack was not enough, he still
doesnt look 100 percent.and by looking him over he looks more like a
green ghost did you buy him directly from nerd? if not any records?

He definitely isn't greenish, the entire time I had him he was a very bright clean warm color, not like any green ghost I've seen. No I did not get him from NERD I got him from a previous owner and breeder. You saw pics of him, I didn't photoshop anything.

Anyway let me know how he does

Yeah Im way up in WA and dont have any way to just show up at his house. I dont have a phone right now either so no way to call him. at this point I highly doubt I will ever see or hear from him again. Never doing trades or trusting someone again. this sucks -_-
 
I hate the way people stick up for certain people and then give the OP a hard time about posting here. Dude hasnt gotten a hold of her in over a month. Had not returned any e-mails or messages. She posts here boom dude replies. Very powerful this BOI. Now the dude is gone again for over a month.

The guy with the snakes says that his eggs will pipe in Late March. Its now May. The snakes should had been hatched shed and eatin hell twice by now by what the Breeder is saying. Hope should have her Ball pythons by now. IMO yes this means Bad Guy. He is either A. Lying about the snakes hatching. B. Lying about the snakes hatching. He took this girls snake and poof is gone.

I don't see where anyone defended Balloholic, or gave the OP a hard time. I do see where readers were trying to make sure that the OP was jumping the gun. As many times as people say Fauna turns into a "feeding frenzy" on "Bad guy" posts, I would think this was a positive aspect of the thread...but then I know we can't please everyone.:shrug01:

Balloholic absolutely should keep in touch and if the animals have been hatched already, should send her what was agreed to. I have already added him to my "Do Not Buy From or Sell To" list. I would hope that no one buys any animals that he posts on the classifieds until he resolves this issue.:NoNo:

A lot of people assume things. They are so quick with their replies. Like Montoya. It was not a helpful post. Maybe I should make myself clear. I believe coming into a thread not knowing the entire situation and telling a person they jumped a thread because they should expect a snake in October IMO is uneeded. Those 2010s were told to the OP they would be ready at the end of March. Now Montoya didnt know that. But dont assume.

Then again with Pavlok. The assuming again and making the OP have to defened themselves. It can go both ways. I understand that. I do. But dont jump the gun. The OP should had posted more information. But dont make assumptions. The OP was told the eggs wouldnt hatch till end of March. March showed up and the OP just wanted some information. I see nothing wrong with that. I do see an issue of a guy ignoring somebody for a month after they have that persons payment, in this case a snake, knowing their own eggs would be hatching soon.

Again. I know it goes both ways. But why get on the defensive right off the bat and make assumptions?
 
Does anyone know where else Balloholic may be posting his animals for sale? It may help to go there and post this link (if it's possible).
