    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

k, I dont recall anyone here I have met in real life. SO! I snapped a mug. Actually my little brother did. Most people see my age here and freak. "He is 16 and breed geckos!? WHAT!?" Bleh. But here I am, 16 and proud.

Hair is getting to the length to where I need a SLIGHT trim I will admit, but not much.

Here is a sweet little baby that hatched today. High yellow het bell. I love how great the colors are on the babies my normal female throughs.

And here are 2 alright pics of my levis male I felt like showing off ;). I am jealous of all the nice fats and leos being posted, so I thought I would show him off :).

Cute baby leo, I like the knob tails they are so cool looking, hey don't worry about the hair, you are 16 lol so its time to let it fly while you still can although my hubby let his be half down his back til a couple of years ago! And regardless of your age you always have nice leos and I think you are doing a great job at breeding!

I'm glad that I'm not the only young person out there who breeds geckos..JK. Alot of forums don't welcome young people as much as this one does, I feel alot more welcome here although I don't chare my age that often becuase of the way people react. Nice geckos though!

Im 17 in two days. :)

No one should think less of you if you are old or young. I think telling people your age just gets you more respect as a real person. Before leafer told me her age I had a picture in my head of some hot 17 year old blond, now I respect her, LMAO! jk, leafer you know I love you. ;) :bolt01:

Isn't Webslave like 56? ;) Having a large difference in age keeps this place fun!

Dude, I just love that levis… keep showing him off. :) I started when I was 13 and I think it’s great that younger people are getting in the hobby. Everyone brings something different into the hobby and it just makes it that much better.

mathew i just want to pinch those cute little cheeks and then talk some geckos,,, ima old bitty compared to you (oh i remember those days just like it was yesterday, oh how nostalgic) and that knob is AWESOME... i am the biggest fan of the "smooth knobs" i do not like the "rough kobs" there tails are too freaky but i do like U. Milli too

alright now i feel old...

My oldest son is older then you. Now I feel like a old man and I am only 38. that is 38 and still getting better i will have you know. :) I think there is quite an age range in the regulars in this forum. Maybe post a poll to see how old everyone is. We know the women will lie about thier age but atleast we will see how old the guys here are.

Hmm, I love levis levis, but I love the roughs! Awesome looking :). Im working on getting 2.1 more levis at the moment. Maybe you or cody can pick up one of my spare males. We'll see :)

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Matt, great looking geckos. I try not to let anyones age affect how I judge them, I base it on how they conduct themselves and you are of a respectable age in my book. LOL

Ya know Matthew I never even realized how old you were until today.i never looked at the age.You have always posted wonderful helpful things and that what its all about.You should be recognized as a Grade A breeder.You have a lot to offer this hobby.Age is just a number maturity is another thing altogether.And it seems to me you have plenty of that.
Robin

Hey Robin, it's nice to know im not alone in Queens.
Unfortunately I was not sold an animal due to my age.

Funny age jokes.

NYC, that sucks. May I ask who it was?

And thanks again for the reinforcment all.

Hey Marcia,

Its a shame we didn't meet years ago, who knows maybe we could have dated and you could have been my Ol'Lady. I guess living 3000 miles apart just made it impossible.
Instead I'm Robins Ol'Man, she'll never be my Ol'Lady.

Well Russ, since my daughter is almost 31 that would mean you would have had to have been around 8 or 9 years old for us to have 'dated.' I've heard of dating 'older' women, but that is just downright wrong!

BTW Matthew... if you keep going the way you have been, you'll be leavin' us in the dust by the time you are 25!!!

Hehe.. That was my plane ;). The hard part is college. I want to go to be a vet, but I asked my little brother who is 8 If he would watch my geckos for a dew years. His current responce is no. Who knows, maybe when he is 10 he will want to. I still have 2 years to convince him. I gave him a baby HY, it has grown great, but he forgets to feed it. Im the one always feeding it.
