    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

Were do I start? Well I guess I will start at the beginning after a recommendation from someone my wife and I decided to check out bebos-burms.com after looking at the pictures we decided to call. Jim was a great guy to talk to and very helpful :thumbsup: . I am not really good with the whole genetics deal I normally go to the genetics wizard on line punch in what i need to know and wallah it shows me. Anyway he told me all kinds of usefull information. He was very patient over the next week and a half with all of our phone calls and questions.We finally decided to go with a male albino green het for granite the first pic is the one he sent us we were so excited :D . Another couple of days of phone calls and emails and we said that was the one. Jim said that the picture did not do the snake justice and he was right. We received one of the most awesome looking animals I have seen other than his green granite those are just insane looking. My wife and I could not be more pleased with this snake and we got a deal that was to good to pass up. It was professionally packaged and sent when promised just an all around great transaction. :thumbsup: the last few pictures are of the snake I received and was so much more awesome than I could have imagined. Just to let you know he is in shed mode so I will post more pics after he sheds but god he is AWESOME. Thanks Jim you will definitely hear from us again.

Also a big thank you to Ed Petrucci A.K.A. AngryEd for the referral.

P.S. our camera is not the greatest so you still have no idea I hope after he sheds I can take a better picture.

thank you

My pleasure, but even going to user cp isn't essential for you to do as your name does appear to the left of your posts in your member information. As long as its there you are in compliance with the rules to posting on the BOI.

Glad you had a great transaction....

Best

I'm very happy that ya'll are so satisfied with the little guy. And as I said in one e-mail. It is refreshing to deal with folks like yourselves. Good smooth transaction, and enjoyable as well. I'd be more than happy to do business with you again if the opportunity presents itself. Thank's again Sam!!

The understatement of the century!

I support this statement 100%. I recently made a VERY large purchase from Jim so as to acquire a large number of high-quality unrelated burm and dwarf retic morphs to add to my own holdbacks for future breeding stock. The list includes but is not limited to: Greens het for albino and granite or both, Granites het for green or albino or pos both, Albino granites pos het for green, Albinos het green and pos het granite, Albino greens pos het granite, Dawrf tics het for genetic stripe, Triple het burms for labyrinth, albino and granite and others I can't even remember at the moment. All of the snakes surpassed my greatest expectations in terms of beauty, health and overall appearance.

To say Jim goes the extra mile is an understatement. He goes the extra 500 miles! To ensure the safety of this very valuable morph package he suggested that we both drive and meet halfway between our homes, approximately 500 miles drive for each of us. I agreed but I could only do it today, on a Sunday. Jim canceled other prior obligations he had today just to accomodate me and my schedule so as to ensure the safety and wellbeing of these beautiful pythons.

Upon meeting him I was instantly impressed upon by how nice and polite, professional and courtious he was/is. I would have taken the snakes, sight unseen at his word that they were healthy and perfect but he insisted that we look over each one in turn. These morphs are truly perfect little beauties. Some of the best I have ever seen. I would/will reccomend Jim Mason to anybody looking for a high-quality python morph from very stingently outbred lines. Jim is a stickler for health and quality in everything he does and it shows in the animals he produces.

Thanks for everything Jim. It was a pleasure finally meeting you and I look forward to doing business with you again in the future and even just in hanging out at snake shows.

Take care,
David Beauchemin

Don't you mean to turn right around and sell them on kingsnake as your own?

Not only did you sell the man's hard work as your own...... but you took pictures of his pride and joy and altered them to make them look NEON.

Sorry to hijack your thread Jim.

Even though you knew who this guy was. Even though you knew what a scammer he is. You went out of your way to treat him fairly, politely, and proffesionally. I wish I was man enough to do what you did. Kudos to you Jim :thumbsup:

Jim is a top notch guy. I bought some animals from him a could not have been happier with them. Anyone even thinking of buying from him should not even hesitate.

Jim, if you dealt with david, or should I say Damon, I hope you got your money up front. Please tell me you did not let him have any credit.
