    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Rob- I saw an add on South Florida Craigslist about (3) weeks ago advertising a 2013 Black Pastel Trick. Since most of CL is BS, I assumed it to be some kind of scam.. The add may still be up?

I don't know what just happened there, I tried to copy a link to the add. My mistake, It is advertised as a Liesen Pastel Trick- No Price or Phone Number. The add was posted on August 8th and is still up. (There is a picture of the snake).
 
I put out a BOI on him/her about a week ago. He/she just keeps deleting their ads for ball pythons.

No pictures
No phone number

So far tried to sell: Leopard Spector, Pastel Enchi and now this.

Smells like fake meat substitute, SCPAM!
 
First off I delete an ad from a previous day to repost new. Secondly just about every ones ads are "strikingly Familiar". Thirdly I did post all over on CL as well for locally buyers but I did my first post for it just in the last 2 days so I don't know what this on the 8th thing is about. If there are any doubts on what I have then just show up in person to see for yourself instead of just filling your sad lonely day online looking for drama and assuming I'm some chic that is claiming to have something that I don't just because I am new here. I would love to rub this snake in some faces on here in person. Not to mention all of your drama searching is just preventing other ball python lovers that actually want this little guy to turn around thinking it's some fraud do to your accusations and missing out on what they could actually have if it hadn't been for reading your false slanders. You should be ashamed of what you do without knowing for sure what your doing is justified. Hell if you were smart enough you would contact another breeder close to me and have him check it out in person to "VERIFY". Thank you very much and make better use of your time.
 
Did you respond to the moderators request for identification yesterday like he asked? We know you just deleted the ad and reposted it today instead.

If this is not the same person, then perhaps they can get together and sell each other their snakes and "rub it in".
P.S. I have a sad life, so I have plenty of time to be on here.

James, Unfortunately you are new here. No one is calling you a scammer...Yet. You have to prove yourself on here before you start barking orders. The initial post was asking if anyone either knew of you or heard of a pastel Trick being advertised in the South Florida area. If the CL add listed below is not yours, then move on. The add I saw (Was originally posted in August and reposted again Sept. 7th.

To address some of your concerns above:
1. You can pay $25 to be a contributing member on here and bump your adds daily without needing to erase and repost.
2. What South Florida breeders do you want us to contact? I'm in South Florida, would you like to rub the snake in my face in person??
You need to understand that we look out for one another on here. Unfortunately, there have been several scammers posting animals on this site attempting to rip someone off. We look out for our customers. If your animals are legit, them great! I wish you well with your animals and your sales. :thumbsup:

As much as I love exposing liars, thieves and scammers ... I have to agree with Brian.

Same snake. I see (and I expect no one will understand my idiot ID translation) the same "CO/bar/heart" pattern in both top pics that can't be duplicated in two different snakes.

I also see that the "wrench" pattern on the neck is the same on the ad photos as the more current, more clear photos sent to Brian.

James Gerard, if you are legit, it would be worth your time and effort to prove it to the moderators of this forum. No one who is honest, reputable and sincere would hesitate to do so.

Those who come off as immature, thin-skinned, and respond to legitimate questions by seasoned herpers and vendors with insults about drama and slander, getting a life and being "smart enough" ain't gonna last long in the industry or hobby.

You may not be a scammer, liar, thief ... but you would not want to be taken by one either. :)

So am I missing something in geography here... Isn't Lee Florida, in Northern Florida, and Miami 400+ miles away in Southern Florida?

So where in person does someone have to go to see these animals in person?
