    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I wasn't sure as where to put this. But it seems as it should fit here as the topic is related to Ball Pythons (But if any Mods feel the need to move the thread to a more suitable area please do so)

Im wondering if anyone has any information on getting Ball Pythons Imported? Or if they know of anyone that currently exports Ball Pythons into the US.
I've tried accessing sites where to get information about having Bp's Imported But Im having no luck finding out any information thats useful.

Here's the problem if it helps Im looking to get a good amount of Bp's Im looking for color and pattern Everyone Ive talked to can get me the quanity I want yet I cant hand pick the ones I want... I want/need to hand pick the ones I want as Im looking for color and pattern. So I figure If I can find an Importer/Exporter I'll just have them order more/deliver more so I can hand pick the ones I like that suite what Im looking for

Try contacting Mike Cole at Ballroom Pythons in Florida or Ben Siegel in Florida. They can probably hook you up with a crate of unopened bags once they arrive. You will get the crate (gonna be a bit pricey) but you won't be able to sort thru the shipment. What you get in your crate will be what you get. Since they are doing the importing, they will want to be able to sort thru. You may get lucky with your crate, you may not.

Thanks for the input, I in all honesty only want or am looking for about 15-20 But im looking for color and pattern. So I figured it would be in best intrest and give me more of a selection to choose from to order/get a few hundred. I breifly looked into having things imported but lets just say at this point in time I dont want to go that route unless absolutly needed.
 
everyone else is looking for the best price, color, and pattern too with as many captive bred babbies as everyone is producing... there are not nearly as many importers/exporters needed. U know even the un opened bags that are arrived here get looked over tooth and nail in africa right? Its a cool thought to get some neat dinkers and try to prove out some new color mutation or pattern but buying 200 normals and keeping 20 cause they have a certian marker is kind of crazy to me.

Honestly, I think for that small of a quantity your best bet is to just look around until you find normals you like and buy them individually. I've gotten some nice normals that way...just checking shows, classifieds, and from people selling CH babies. I agree w/ Steve - check with Michael Cole or Ben Siegle. They often have CH babies for sale, and sometimes they have some nice ones....
 
Yes I agree. Another one to try is outback reptiles. Plus they do va md and pa shows and I believe long island but that's a haul for you.
 
I have to agree with the others, and wish I had some info for you on this too-- however I've really found some interesting looking beauties from keeping a close eye on ads, and Outback is a good idea, I haven't dealt with them personally but I know a few who have and were happy with their business

Outback is a good one as they can get me the quanity no problem But I can't Pick the ones I want (With there grab bag when they start importing 10 Bps per bag) and there's no guarentee that there's a female in there. I've been keeping a close eye on ads but yet have found nothing. Im willng to spend the money for what I want but I want to pick out what I want. If it cost's a little extra thats fine as long as I can pick out the ones I want.
Outback doesn't really let people inside their facility although Im sure Josh could nail what Im looking for without a problem. I still want to see the ones being picked out to ensure there what Im looking for.
So it came to two choices find an Importer and deal with them or Import yourself well I dont at this time have the resources needed to Import Nor the space to put a Wholesale lot of Imports either (although the garage is empty LoL)
I did pick up a few Bush Babies from Outback at the Show earlier this year they had several tubs with a few inside the only problem is from the 200 or so they had available I was only able to find 3 that where what I wanted/was looking for...

Yup sounds Crazy to me as well But If I get what Im looking for is it that crazy?? Yea I know before there shipped here that the people that are packaging them are overlooking them and looking for odd colors and patterns.
But So am I...
 
I'm thinking its going to be nearly impossible to find an importer that's going to let you sit there and pick through the crates while they are being opened. 15-20 BPs isn't really wholesale, and it's just going to be a hassle for the importer. Maybe tell them what you're looking for and have them pull babies for you. I've got a few people I know and trust enough that I will buy sight unseen from them... I know it's not what you really want but it might be your best bet.
 
money talks. if your looking for a big hitter snake, your gonna have to pay for it. you want free reign to look through new imports, slip the importer 10k and see what happens...
 
I know thats want the Importers want So I've decided to go another route and bybass that option I've found Importer who can foward me a fresh Imported Lot of Bp's for a decent price... But I think I'm going to see what I need to do to Import them myself and see what I want to do from there... I have the paperwork in the mail for the Virginia Importation Permit But Im waiting to here back on the CITES paperwork along with a Wholeseller in Ghana, I have one qoute from a facilty in Ghana that exports them but the one Im waiting for Also helps you handle the shipping and Importation paperwork...
