    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I bought some rats from him. Sent money after confirming that he could ship right away as I needed them asap. Guy just disappeared, never could reach him again. I've filed a complaint with PayPal to try and recover my funds (which I'm still waiting on). I'd pass.

Mike has had a bad run of things lately he had kids break into his rodent house and kill everything with Gasoline and then on the way to replace his breeding stock so he could get orders out he feel asleep at the wheel and fliped his truck. I don't really know the guy but he called me from the hospital to tell me he wouldn't be able to get my order out for a bit. But I am sure he will get everything caught up as soon as he gets back on his feet.

Mike when you get out of the hospital and read this thread please don't let these people down as I am sticking up for you and I don't want to look like an ass for doing so.

i take it this accident was in the last 3 or so weeks right?

i ordered from him a bit before that and got my animals right away, 0.4 50% het albino balls, i would say if he had an accident don't count that against him if he is a bit late getting back to you. as for the animals i got, they were top notch if i would have got them from someone else i would have paid much more simply because the animals have awesome patterns.

As far as his condition I really don't know I talked to his girl a few days ago and she made it sound as if he was going to be in for awhile but didn't get to personal, It was non of my business anyway I was just wondering what happened to my feeder order. The accident happened about 2-2.5 weeks ago he came down and delivered some rabbits for um lets say pets for the Gators and bought a corn snake I had. He was to deliver my feeders that monday and called from the hospital, that was the last I heard from him. I am sure he will make good on the orders and sales he made but it will take some time. I knew about the Boa because he was talking to me about it and I know he was to ship it out / deliver it but then everything came down on him. Come on people we all have had the moment in our lives when all the walls seemed to crash down on us, just wait a bit and if nothing happens then I will be on here looking for him as well.

well if this guy got in a wreck cant his girlfriend help out or one of his friends with his bus. so he doenst burn everyone that or just dont cash the checks or mo in my case I sent it over 3weeks ago I can get the exact date I have been trying to forget it as I DONT SEE ME GETTING *!@#@!$ FROM THIS GUY it is to bad when people do this it hurts the small guys so bad and we always try to do good oh well I hope he gets infected from his injuries so carma can get him Thanks Tyrone Isent 360 for 100 rats
 
hey man i understand how frustrating that would be, but if he got hurt bad enough what would you expect him to do? i for one would never have anyone else send out packages for me, just to risky, most of my friends would not even touch the things i have let alone pack them up and send them out.

i can say i sent him more money then that, and i got my animals the next week. .4 50% het albino balls. i would do business with him again.
 
Accident

I was just inquiring whether anyone had any contact info for him. Since i found out he had an accident I havent even worried about it. Everyone has had nothing but good things to say about him. Thanks for all the info.
 
If he is a good guy than why is there no contact info I even leave my cell on my web page that way nobody thinks I am hidding we will see how stand up he is after his wreck I really dont care if someone else has sent more money and got something from him I just want my 360 or a email or phone call !!! hey Tony did you not say in your post this happed 2-3weeks ago from your post on 9-23 which is funny because I sent the mo on 9-21 and had email back and forth before that so that means he already had the wreck when hey asked for my money at least he is getting around. Something is a little fishy !! Tyrone
