hi all, im thinkin about buyin a gila monster. ive kept venomous for 2 years now, mostly cobras, and now i want a gila monster. can somoene tell me what they feed on? and what temps and humidity that they need? any help would be appreciated. thanks

Extremely low humidity. less than 60% maximum. Temps can vary considerably however a basking area with temps in the 100's in helpful. Diet depends on size/age of the specimen. Young animals can take pinkie mice, insects, eggs,etc. Adults take larger prey items as well as a more varied diet. Be careful about overfeeding adults and do not give them only eggs! Vitamin supplemets and a wide spectrum UVB are a must for healthy animals. Also, do not underestimate them on speed.. They move slow but can turn and bite quickly! I know this is not detailed but, it gives general hubandry info.
