    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Apparently this thread went further than we thought. I just want t thank everyone for all the great hospitality. Sorry i could not find time or space for any more new dragons after the babies passed. I have since taken on 3 rescue dragons. They are all happy and healthy. I will be attending the Arlington NARBC if anyone is intrested in meeting me still. I hope you have all had a great year! It appears that Dragons and Tails is no longer in business, so i do think this thread created a green sprout. I am currently getting my fed-ex shipping certification and have started breeding snakes as well. So far everything has been great for me despite the horror of this story. I have gotten over it and like to think it helped me grow. I never di recieve a refund, and have long since given up on ever getting one. For those who know me you all know that i am currently Expecting...finally with minimal complications! I look foreward to the future and thank all of those who offered a random act of kindness, trust me although i may not have taken up on the offers, you are not forgotten. Hey everyone this is Brenda with dragons and tails. I wanted to let everybody know, that I've had my baby, shes now 2 months old and I plan on going back to work in a couple of months time. When I go back to work I'm going to refund the money back to the couple, plus compensation for making then wait so long. I didn't have the extra cash throughout my pregnancy to refund her. I feel extremely bad about this and i apologize to the couple and everyone else, sincerely! As for all the commotion about poorly packaging, this is untrue, I found pictures on my last cell phone with date with the 4 dragons packaged, my father is experienced with this and he took pictures of dragons in the packaging. I take great care of my dragons, feed them variety of salads, crickets daily and dubias. Those who have purchased from me know of this and I know they were defending this. I no longer have any dragons but we are planning on building a separate shed, specially made for the dragons, with stackable enclosures and all, and breeding our own insects. I will take pictures to post of their housing. we plan on future breeding, and when this time comes, if she is interested, I will also send her out four healthy baby dragons plus her full refund. Just wanted to announce myself, and apologize to them and everyone else. I would appreciate if those can hear me out and appreciate the fact that I didnt just dissapear but came back to announce myself and resolve the issue. I assumed if i made a new post it would be more announced for people to see, and by titling good guy that people would see it was just me trying to do good and show what the post was about. Yes i said in a few months time, at least I WILL refund her money, with a brand new baby and not working right now, i can't pull money I don't have out for her. My baby is my priority right now. So sorry if it seemed i was trying to gloat about my statement. was just trying to post a seperate thread saying i had good things to say.
 
by the way Jessica my fiance said he had spoken with you on the phone and said "I'm going to let you know these dragons are still about 2 1/2 weeks too early" and that he only goves 24 hour warranty on early dragons. this is what he said. And after he said that you had said, " I take full responsibility, thats fine. I just want my dragons" I'm going to post the picture up as well of the packaging. I may have one of the label on the box to her as well. The only thing irresponsible we've done was send them too early, and not refund her immediately. Jessica i hope you can admit this, because you made us look a Hell od a lot worse than we are. We love our animals and care for them to our fullest. no idiot in the world would pack not one, BUT TWO heat packs in the summer? Come on...

Four animals died needlessly because of your actions. Your customer still has no reimbursement for that (from you). I wouldn't downplay that. Its great that you're coming here and "saying things" but until you put your money where your mouth is, your customer just has your word which really hasn't seemed to mean much. When Jessica gets her refund, maybe I would be able to see this thread as resolved, but not now.

I guess this thread hits me hard because I got my first bearded a few months ago and he's a very special animal to me. I would be incredibly upset if my breeder had shipped him to me and he died as a result of someone elses mishandling or mistake.

So ... today you posted a "Good Guy" thread on yourself, saying the same thing you said 8 months ago about refunding Jessica.

And just today, many months after the transaction and many months after YOUR continued postings on this thread, you actually have discovered dated photos of the actual packaging of those dragons and suddenly recall a conversation between Jessica and your boyfriend about the age and "guarantee" on the hatchlings you shipped to Jessica?

Still trying to put blame where it doesn't exist does NOT constitute a reponsible, caring or worthy herper - let alone require an announcement of your supposed intentions. You still have NOT reimbursed her, those dragons still sufferered and died due to your actions.

You want to do good? Reimburse Jessica, don't make some announcement just to get attention.

Congratulations on your daughter - I hope she is healthy and happy. Raise your kid with some respect for honesty & integrity and the knowlege that EVERY living creature (especially those in your family's care) deserves the very best you can provide. If you cannot provide, then take the higher road and set a good example instead.

(PS - if you think you didn't have the cash DURING the pregnancy, then how do you have the cash AFTER your child is born? Pregnancy is cheap compared to actually CARING/RAISING a child!)

You haven't done any good. You owed a refund for the tiny dragons that died because they were shipped out by you undersize and you actually had plenty of money, remember? You were caught by alert members here shopping for all sorts of critters while still owing for the dead dragons:

I'd say its obvious she could easily afford the refund she is simply choosing not to pay it.

@ Dragons and Tails:

The fact the you can post on Fauna looking to buy reptiles while you have an unresolved issue shows a huge amount of disrespect for your customer and for every reputable breeder/seller that has posted on this thread their belief that you need to make this right. If you do not value the opinions of successful people in your field(so to speak) then what do you base your business practices on? How do you expect to be successful yourself? Or do you believe since you claim to be getting out of reptiles that you can now disregard others in the field without repercussion? I assure you that is not the case, this thread is going to be seen by more and more people everyday and will quite possibly be here for YEARS to come. Think about the effect that will have on your name.

P.S. If your expecting this to drop out of view I wouldn't count on it. Only takes 1 little comment to bump it right back up to the top.:yesnod:

Well my cameras not working so i drew arrows to the ones we have. the one with a purple arrow isnt the same dragon it has dark tiger stripes with alot of purple going down its back. beautiful though. and theres one more not listed but its VERY pretty and red. let me know thankyou. Each is 100 but we always do deals if you buy more than 5, this case since theres only 6 we'll make it if you buy more than 4.

My Remarks: The "purple down its back" is the runt pictured before. I purchased the "purple one" the "pretty and red" baby, as well as another purple and a citrus tiger (it's brown) I will take pictures of the neon purple, the red and the brown one tomorrow and post them on here. you can also see them on my website at http://hecticlife.wbs.com/ourdragons.htm



A black light was used n that picture you can tell in the one where they are all on the piece of wood. If you look at the red coke can, the bar code on it it has a purple tinge to it as well as the lettering.

I won't be suprised if I dont see the refund, It has been almost a full year since i bought the dragons, and as for your daughter, I'm glad but i'm also pregnant and have no room for any new beardies. I bought beardies at the time I did so they would all be same age and could live in Colonies together. My two Colonies of dragons are doing amazing, as well as my snakes. If i see the refund I PEROSNALLY will post a Good Guy on you Brenda, until then, you had no right to go and post a BOI Good Guy on YOURSELF....Truth is, the matter wasnt handled, and it's all in the writting of this BOI. You handled your business unprofessionally and now almost a YEAR LATER you want to refund my money.....plus i've heard it all before. So i'm a little skeptical. Also, pregnancy was no excuse, I still take care of my 9 dragons and 30+ Snakes on a daily and i'm on a "high risk pregnany" status. Such a high risk that I can't even go fly out to see my son, havent since I was 13 months pregnant. So as much as admire, that you were trying to be a GOOD MOM, you still neglected your business. As for the phone conversation and recent development of pictures....little late for all that isnt it? I mean I could pack up a box of 4 little bitty dragons and say it was the same package...so thats all he said she said personally IMHO. If you really feel like doing a refund fine, show me you mean business and come through this time. If not, stop trying to clear your name and stop lieing to "customers".

Aren't Good Guy threads for businesspeople that actually ARE "Good Guys"? As in, they go over and above too consistently do good business? I don't think a definite Bad Guy making good on a bad deal over a year later in any way makes them a "Good Guy", nor deserving of a Good Guy thread. It makes them deserving of a "Bad Guy That Got Caught And Eventually Did The Right Thing After Tons Of Excuses And Delays" thread at the VERY most...

IF she does pay you back, post it here in this thread where it belongs, don't make yourself look worse by validating the way she handled this with a Good Guy thread.
 
Oh i Plan on validating it here. No worries there. I said that, but i know the refund wont EVER make it to me, so i wont ever be writting that GG BOI. It's been almost a year and she spewed this the last time too. It's nothing new to me.
 
I was on a high risk pregnancy too with pre-eclampsia and i had to stay away from all stress, even my fiance because my BP would sky rocket, last thing I wanted to deal with is this. No Jessica i don't have your money right now, but I can promise that you will. When i start work again that'll be one of my firsts to do. I wish you people could stop finding everything to complain about. it pisses me off because i come here to try to do some good, and no, all I get are complaints and insults? I want to resolve this issue so everything can be put to an end, and I can have some peace again. Regardless I'm going to refund her, but after I do Id like eveyone to actually give me some acknowledgment and stop pinpointing things. Its like whether i refund her or not, you all will be saying the same thing. I was a fairly new breeder, i made some mistakes i strongly regret, and now i want to fix them. can anybody accept tht?
 
This latest response from the seller is no better than someone saying, "I'm sorry that I screwed up, but you did so and so, too, so it's not really my fault".

For you to play the pregnancy card in a business transaction is a disgusting affront to women. We didn't come looking for you, you know? No one would have ever made these comments had you not opened the door to them by coming here, for what?

You pranced in here a few days ago and started prattling about how some day you are going to give the refund you owe, you know, the money you used to spend shopping for snakes after you promised the refund the first time? After you said you were selling those poor tiny baby dragons for your pregnancy, the ones that were so undersized that they died?

Come back here AFTER you have paid in full. Right now your promises are identical to the promises you made a year ago: lies.

I agree Matt, kinda does, but it just goes to show, cant teach old dogs new tricks ;) Well, i'm glad you came in and set up a GG BOI for yourself Brenda, good for you, but it still doesnt change how I feel or how I ever will feel about those dragons that died. I dont think any of my collegues, the same as yours will either. Thats just a fact of life. If you are actually wanting to do right, why did you post that you were going to refund my money right now, when you dont even have the money to begin with....kinda sounding like your story from the first round we went, which got us no where. Sad thing is, i still have pictures of those little babies,I talked to several other breeders trying to get supplies rushed to me to make those babies better as quick as I could, not to mention I took them to the vet countless times before they all gave up, but at least i know in my heart of hearts, that i gave those babies the best fighting chance i possibly could. So i've had closure over this issue, and i came to terms that i would never have to speak with you again because no matter what i wasn't going to recieve my refund. Yet almost a year later, and here you are again, beating a dead horse. You can drag a horse to water but you cant make it drink...same goes with those babies I got from you, I could give them syringe feedings 4x a day and numerous baths to try and get them going, take them outside for true UVB/UVA, but I couldn't make them want to thrive and as they each passed on it tore not only a chunk in my heart, but my husbands, my vets and several other breeders who tried restlessly with me to get those babies to spring to life,to will them to live. I would like to thank Cheryl from Rio Reptiles for the rushed baby dubias, countless nights and days on the phone with me, and extra supplements for the babies, as well as the healthy dragons I got from you, i really do appreciate how well started they are and intend to learn from you. Jon from Breeder's Circle for being there for me through this whole mess and telling me about this website and how to correctly go about posting a BOI and for the little lovely dragon I recieved in awesome health. Thank you to those of you who have spent time reading this BOI and to the moderators for doing such a wonderful job in making sure it was correctly policed. ^_^ I will be notifying this BOI when i have been paid or contacted for payment information.

I cant beleive the situation that occured. Im so sorry for what you went through and wanted to offer condolences, even if they are a bit late. Thats a horrible situation to go through, but you literally did all that you could for those little ones. Congrats on the little baby coming, and I wish you luck in your future projects! I would also not hold my breath for a refund from this person. Shes another on my DNBFL. Thanks for bringing this situation to light.

Seriously??? I have seen 5 different excuses on this thread, 4 babies needlessly die, 1 truely hurt customer, and you have flip flopped countless times. Your consistant flopping around on this, promising refunds and still not making good on it,excuse after excuse. I cant take care of them but i want more animals... And then my favorite was we told her they were too little but she okayed it so its really not our fault. And now we have dated pics of the packaging.

Are you kidding me? Where were they when this whole thing was started?? So very convienent those came up so long after.

I wont do business with you ever just because of this whole thread. It would do you a huge justice to just hold up to what you told this whole forum you were going to do. Not to mention the RIGHT thing. Without any more excuses. Unfortunatley Im sure you lost more business you could imagine with this.

I hope you get on the right track with this transaction and eventually do the right thing.
