    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I'm curious then, how does Pay Pal close or suspend accounts at as little as a single complaint? Surely, Pay Pal is just a tad bit larger than KS and their exposure would be considerably more.

I still don't buy it. They could act more positively than they do.

I was a pre-law major in college - eventually changed majors. I don't know everything about the law or even much at all for that matter. Today, law is not black and white, rather gray.

In the end, KS CAN DO MORE. If they choose to do so.
 
Pay Pal has to do with monetary transactions and most suspensions/terminations have to do with provable fraud and illegal activity.

This is much more serious than suspected copyright infringement. To accuse someone of that without out proof can be libelous/slanderous.
 
We can debate this on end. Instead of debating about what's legal, why don't we come up with suggestions for what CAN be done. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

For one, why not let people (in forums) post the link to this site.

"Big Tattoo" ... please scroll back up to my earlier post which highlights (in color) the incredible similarities to my very own text. "Bearded Pets" unwittingly changed only a word here or there in each sentence. The lay-put is exactly as I did mine off the side margins etc.
You will ALSO find the URL to the offending ad, including TWO websites which are a DIRECT 100% copy of portions of their text!

Pray tell me this is not enough proof of copyright infringement!

Furthermore, I have received a personal email (as opposed to posts) from someone who does not wish to let "Bearded Pets" know that they have reported them to the FBI.
They wrote to the IFCC, AND sent the complaint to KINGSNAKE.COM two months ago. They heard NOTHING back from either. From the emailed information I received, I understand that both KS & IFCC claim that once a complaint is filed, the person filing the complaint has no right to know what is happening to the complaint file. IFCC will contact the person if further information is required only.

So guess what ....NOTHING was done about it!

This is evident seeing that these idiots are still allowed to sell on KS today!!!

As an aside, Paypal hasn't quite gotten away with the way they handled closing and suspendng accounts. Their exuberance in closing and suspending accounts is now costing them 9.25 million dollars.
 
Allison I read your posts and saw the similarities. You now have more evidence and seem unwilling to contribute to the investigation by the IFCC. Perhaps, I don't know, they need more evidence that what has been provided. So because nothing has been done so far, that's excuse enough for you to not report your own evidence?



Please explain how your own lack of action to report this is any different than the lack of action of those you're complaining about.

Instead of replying to me spend the time to compose a report to the IFCC and get this matter into the hands of those that are capable of doing somehting.

As Jay said if you're not part of the solution......

I realise you you do not know me personally. And for that I shall forgive you for insinuating that I am a hypocrite!!

Of course I have already filed my complaint!

When I feel someone has done me an injustice, I stand up for myself. Even it means standing alone.

And when I feel others have a chance to make a difference in what has previously seemed like a 'hopeless' situation, I ask them to join me in filing their claims also.

But you can only ask, and you just have to wait for others to step forward...

I have a file # on record with the FBI which allows me to go back and add any further comments, witnesses etc...

I read a number of threads on "Bearded Pets" after doing a search on the BOI. Sounds like a variety of things can be reported to make a real difference to their future existence.
CONTACT ME IF YOU EXPERIENCED ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

~ If any photos used by "Bearded Pets" to sell their animals were actually YOURS, or you were sent images that you know belonged to someone else, either a website or individual.

~ If you have been ripped off by "Bearded Pets" or have proof of an attempted rip-off.

~ If you have proof that "Bearded Pets" have tried to trade under a different name, false location etc...

~ If you have previously filed a complaint to either IFCC or KS about being scammed by "Bearded Pets", and received no answer or follow-up, despite having proof of the scam.

~ If your KS account has ever been suspended or closed as a direct result of complaints you made to them about a shady KS customer/seller.

Sorry to bring one of the MANY threads regarding Bearded Pets back to the top - but they are still selling over at KS :( Now I did a search and AT LEAST SIX (count 'em six) people have said they've been burned and filed complaints through the appropriate channels, so why the hell are they still out there??? I would love to see EVERYONE who has done so to simply reply to this thread.
 
contact these six people, have then send copies of thier complaints to me (they need the # of the report thats sent back to them after filing a claim) and I will GLADLY jointly file them to kingsnake to see them removed. They have told me once this information is compiled, they will be removed. Lets get this information together and get it done..

ANYONE WHO HAS FILED A LEGITIAMTE CLAIM COPY ALL NEEDED DOCUMENTS AND CORRESPONDENCE CONFIRMING YOUR CLAIMS AND SEND THEM TO [email protected]

I will take every single one of these claims and send them to kingsnake in one "package"..... there will be NO excuses then. If they continue to allow them to sell after that we will know where thier priorities lay. Simple enough. Lets get cracking people.....
 
Fraud

All you really need to do is file with the IFCC, why screw around with kingsnake and whoever else who does not care, the IFCC is not fast by any means but when there is a public threat by scamming via the internet etc they do take action

I've asked everyone in the other bearded pets threads to make thier formal claims to the IFCC and respond back to me with thier case number they recieve after they review the claim.

This will also be handy to anyone who receives sick or dying animals from Wendy. Everyone take note!

If I could have refunded Dan I would have but he never bought anything from me and did not complete the trade so there was no ass kissing to do to refund anything or make up for an animal I sold and did not have!

Of coarse it was a good guy post, he refunded for animals he sold, took some time to do it and for animals that he did not have at the time he sold them

Heck if I had given Dan a different dragon (the hypo female breeder) as a replacement that he wanted this would never have happened, it would have been a good guy post too

heck, i know if i get shipped a sickly animal you wouldnt have gotten crap either. you get mad at him for not sending it back, which it would have died in shipping. you would have started your thread still and totally claimed him responsible for it somehow. you claim if he still ships back the dead body, you can get a necropsy done.......

i re-read that topic that you posted again (somehow i thought i misred something, you try to make it sound like he scammed someone, somehow). from what it sounds like it was simple mistakes. all parties were in agreement and noone seemed mad about it. so whats the big deal?

Again, you are STUPID. Stock quantities were not updated because last year aroudn that time I had some oral surgery preformed and was not updating the site as often as I should have, an order or two slipped by on products that were out of stock and we prompty issues refunds. Even the customer who this happened too posted in the good guy thread!

You are truley an idiot.

Also, why would I need to "lurk" here? We've had nothing but AWESOME experiences with the members here, made great friends. I'll be sure to have a moderator compare the IP addresses for you just to prove it for you.


How can one person be so naive? Please, do us ALL a favor. Stop before you REALLY make yourself look worse than you already have. (Not really possible, but who knows!)
