    =====================

I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Those are awesome looking...

I think I like the sub-adults better because they still have some of that pattern hidden in the background of orange.

His prices aren't even that bad when you consider how many different genetics are actually in there. More then I'm willing to spend, but not bad.

is it just me . . .

. . . or do they somewhat resemble some of the leos that HQ are producing in his red-stripe line? They seem to have that same feel - especially in the tail. Mr. Tremper said that some produced reverse stripes - i wonder what part the stripe line played in getting to APTOR?

Pretty cool. It would be fun to know how he got there.

They do have a nice orange glow about them, don't they?

OMG!!!!!!!

Monte likes a "Fru-Fru"???????

They are nice, wish I had $750 :(

Those leos are awesome! When I saw the first picture I thought they would be over $1000 but to my surprise they’re under.

LOL. Those geckos are about as “Fru-Fru” as you can get.

LOL, do they come with a bow too?

Man, I got the email, and the pictures were pretty cool. I thought they'd be like 1500, comprable to when albinos first came out, or to match some of the best of HQ, but they're under. Sure seems like theres a heck of a lot of genes in that animal.

Pretty cool. Tremper's definately got some tricks up his sleeve... cant wait til the '05 Blue Gecko date.

So now we've got white geckos, yellow geckos, orange geckos, glowing geckos... man. And red, and blue on the way. Who's in line for a black one?

Blue... that'd be kinda cool looking...I'd take one...

then throw in some other genes.... and I'd like a sky blue giant patternless paradox blazing blizzard with an orange stripe and a green jungle tail... :D

I guess we still have a long way to go in terms of gecko genetics

They seem to be selling pretty fast at that price as well. A lot of that glow look seems to come from the black background which helps enhance the colors (as far as your eyes and computer are concerned). They definatly are brightly colored though.

o joy

damn i was saving up for those for march or april release ! whats a fru-fru ? LOL

nope

asked ron about it today , they are a " patternless
" he calls it , it did come from the designers(obviously) and it is a recessive gene , some of them hatch out pure-orange ! amazing hold on to your hats , also was told that there is a " super-giant" !.............. his carrotheads , carrottails , tangerines,super-tangerines(hypos) are NOT selective bred traits , AND (no im not done yet) jungle/stripe/reverse-stripe/zig-zag are NOT recessive or dom. but "polygenic traits" !!!!!!!!:spinner03

also

he has never used any ray-hines animals in either super tangerine(hypo) or APTOR

Ok

So these are patternless albinos which originated from only albinos. Has one been bred to a normal leo I must as how is it proven its recessive, the baby is much different than any hybino I've ever seen. But I can't help but think its just selective breeding.

That's exaclty what I think Xavier. They appear to be Hyglos to me, check out these pics for comparison.

Courtesy of Ron and Alberto. Yes, I'm posting these pics without their permission, but I'm sure it wont be a problem.

First one is Alberto's Hyglo, and second one is Ron's Aptor

We have Rons nice confident website stating about Gaints being recessive then 2 years later what happens? Ah I have no idea why he thinks his are different. Come on guys you breed your best albinos to eahc other and thier offspring for a few years and your saying its a new morp, that sounds to me liek some ones not thinking your producing something purely from selective breeding. Its not like your seeing a albino hatch for the first time....

i know

the "hyglo" is from rons "super tangerine(hypo) CH "-line ,and is he says is not related to this patternless gene ,when i asked him about it today ! he did tell me 6 months ago about the patternless gene that is not leucistic or blizzard ! its also the same gene he is using for the "blue" and "snow" albinos ! i cant wait to see orange or blue lightly striped or completely patternless babies ! guess what yall ? ray hines are NOT the only genetic "hypo"

If it's a patternless gene, shouldn't every single one be patternless, some of them have that little bit of white........He still calls them Aptors.

Matt

My OPINION (take it or leave it :) is that the "raptor" and the "hyglow" are one in the same and that they are both selectively bred albino super hypos.

What do y'all think?
