I appreciate you giving me the choice to choose. I have been a big supporter of yours and the site for years and will always continue to do so. You will not see me running to other sites and bad mouthing fauna in the future or anything of the kind as was seen by other previous forum mods. No matter how things unfold over time I will still be here to support fauna and help out any way I can. Its only be a couple months since the inception of the "forum Moderator" idea and if my count is right at least 40% of them haven't worked out for one reason or another. The forum moderator idea might be something that you may want to rethink. I think that sticking to the super mods might just be the only way to save face for fauna. You have a lot of great people as mods and dont want to take anything away from them as people, just a thought as what is best for fauna. You have a lot of members that wont go into certain forums only because of who the Mod for that forum is, you never had that situation before instating forum mods.
As far as the decision goes, I think I can make that decision rather easily. I can still help the site out as much as a contributing member as i can a Moderator. The amphibian forum is picking up steam and will continue to do so as i get more and more people involved there. I believe the new relaxed rules you have implemented allowing people more freedom of speech is exactly what i am trying to preserve. Although I enjoy the "status" of being a moderator and having a benefactor status next to my name, what it comes down to is whether of not i need that freedom of speech and expression or do I stay as a forum moderator and have to always watch what I say and do and worry if i am crossing the line or not. I am a very outspoken person, And if I have to muzzled to be a mod then it isn't for me. You relaxed the rules and say you will give everyone the rope to hang themselves well when given a piece of rope (critical Bill) quickly put the noose around his neck and jumped off.HE made it CLEAR that it was a death threat and took a situation that was all in fun to a felony status yet 0 points and 0 action was taken and its not only a violation of fauna but pretty much anywhere.

Threats in public are an indication of someone who just is not welcome on my site. Although this warning will be used as needed, more often then not, a severe case of threats will simply result in the person making the threats being fined and suspended immediately

Be careful that the rope your are giving people with the relaxed rules is not turned around and lassoed around you to pull you and Fauna down. He has proved himself time and time again what his true colors are.
I was the one that came up with the "PAY FOR HELL" idea and enjoy participating there. It is more fun than just about anywhere else. What we had been and are doing is all in good fun and I can not just walk away from a place that gives me such pleasure. I thought that when you said you were giving that extra rope out it would include every one and not exclude the mods. you will never know their true colors if you don't give them the opportunity to speak the minds any way they want.
If i embarrassed you or fauna with any thing that i have said or done then i am truly sorry as it was not my intention. If you ever need any help with anything or just someone to talk to i will always be here to support you Rich. Believe it or not I am one of the people that thinks your a good guy and no matter how many other sites keep popping up trying to compete against you, I believe you have shown and will continue to show you and fauna aren't going anywhere and the devoted members will always be here to support you in what ever course you decide to take.
Once again i would like to say thank you for the opportunity for being a forum mod and thanks to all the others especially steph, rana, Lucille, Dan. G. (boidsmith), harold, and dennis H. because you guys are great and bring a lot to fauna.
And Rich, Put Lucille back to MOD status already!!! The welcome forum and lonely hearts forums are the only things suffering by her not being a MOD!!!!
