    =====================

I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Bad Guy Dragons and Tails

Is it possible that it was that yellow fungus? I read some where about it, but is it possible it might have been that?

Okay I take great care of my dragons. Tell me why if you look on the ad I posted of the babies, they look beautiful and healthy? I NEVER SAID that they were 6 inches, I told you the date of their birth, and i would NEVER put two heat packs in their package. I am not an idiot, and it brings tears to my eyes when I see one of my babys that dont make it. Being honest I have had some dragons that havent made it, and have had my own set of failures, but I want the best for my dragons and try to give them the best. I dont make stupid decisions like shipping to an extremely hot state and throwing in 2 heat packs. Im not a dumb ass. So hope everyone can hear me out. I did not say I wouldnt refund you my phone has been broken for 3 weeks, thats why I have posted a different number on my ads. I am actually making the responsible decision, since I have a baby on the way and cant afford the stress and to constantly take care of all of them, I am selling my babys :( And no not babys, but my collection. Im going to miss them but I will not jeoperadize them losing attention and the same treatment Ive given them since day 1. As for the yellow on the belly, I have no idea what it is, im sorry it didnt go well. Sometimes things dont, so my apologies. You should have emailed me before all this, but I actually like that i am able to speak out and clear things out with everyone. Thankyou All, feel free to contact me with anything you feel. [email protected]

Brenda you say that you take great care of your babies, yet you shipped them at...what? A week old??? I hope you'll do the right thing for the OP and refund most of her money.

No I did not ship them at a week old, I shipped at 5 weeks or so. I told her the date of birth of the babies. You do not know this type of info so please dont come at me like this. When the babies were with me they were eating jumping around the cage, drinking water and acting perfectly fine, more than fine. All of a sudden they reach her and they are all sick?

You're seriously saying that that little tiny dragon is 5 weeks old without having been ill or anything??

I have multiple clutches at a time and things have been hectic for me so sorry i didnt get it right on the DOT. I almost miscarried in the beginning and havent been down to details with much since. The latest they were was 3 weeks old, I held them for another week which I you because I got 1,000 pinheads in and wanted to feed them. Ive had dragons shipped to me at 3 weeks and they were fine, I know thats not neccesarily the best and thats the EARLIEST to do it, 6-8 weeks is when you want to.

He wasnt 5 weeks old I checked the calender, theyre all 3. I refuse to sit here and stress my self out and argue with people that arent involved in this.

Brenda, can you post the full email exchange between you and teh buyer? I certainly don't agree with shipping dragons that size regardless but I would like to see where you told the buyer their age and size.

you guys must not have much to do in the day. this is too stressful for me, I had to say what I had to say. Hoping others besides people that just want to instigate in others lifes. Goodbye, take care all.

"People that aren't involved in this" represent your possible client base, future buyers/customers. What is revealed here will either make it difficult if not impossible for you to sell off your stock (the stock could be sick..we don't know what that yellow on the first baby was), put a black mark on your business name as having shoddy business tactics, or simply put you out of business instead of slowing it down.

IMO, it's really convenient that the first time something goes wrong in a Seller's BUSINESS and is brought to light, Sellers seem to have a ton of personal excuses guaranteed to pull at our heart strings (...I'm still searching for MY heart...:reddevil:) ) I, personally, hope you will conduct yourself as a professional business woman and leave your private life out of the reasons for any screw ups.

I NEVER SAID that they were 6 inches, I told you the date of their birth, and i would NEVER put two heat packs in their package

According to your statement, Hectic is lying? Do you have emails to prove this?

Sorry, Hectic, I know you said you didn't want a refund, but another poster brought it to the table. In my opinion, if a refund is wanted, then the dragons need to be sent back (regardless of how YOU feel about it). If no refund is wanted then you need to prove your case for bringing it to the BOI to warn us about the seller's business tactics, because it is becoming a "he said, she said event" as the seller has stated that you knew how old the dragons were.:shrug01:

If the buyer does not want to return the living dragons why not return the deceased one for a refund?

Brenda, the y"your all big meanies and I'm leaving" approach has been tried before and it does not make issues go away. You have two options IMO, prove where the buyer was aware of the dragons age and size or admit fault and rectify the situation with the buyer.

You may think you're leaving the hobby but trust me some day you'll be back and this will still be here.

I totally agree with Deborah about sending back the animals if you wanted your money back; however, the point that I brought up (but failed to define) was for the dead dragon. As I wouldn't send a partial refund to a buyer AND allow him/her to keep an animal, I would never suggest anyone else do that, either, BUT in this case a dragon died within 24 hours. That deserves a full refund for THAT animal, despite what the OP decides to do with the rest of the animals.

"No I did not ship them at a week old, I shipped at 5 weeks or so"

"He wasnt 5 weeks old I checked the calender, theyre all 3."

I have zero personal involvement but this deal seems shady to me. 5 weeks or so suggests they are possibly OVER 5 weeks, then all of sudden they are 3. And once all the wishy-washy stuff comes out all of a sudden you are much too stressed to keep posting here. IMO honest people who've done nothing wrong don't get so stressed and upset in a situation like this.

Also the fact remains that the TINY dragon in the buyers picture looks a lot smaller then the sellers picture. Are you sure you shipped the right dragon/s? Maybe in all your stress and personal issues you made a mistake..

Jus my 2 cents

I've decided to keep the three living, I don't want to send them back as I don't feel they will make it and I'm sorry but I love animals and I can't have that kind of thing on my concense. As for the dead one...I didn't even keep it in my house, it was dead with god knows what. It got thrown out like most dead animals do. What would have been the point to keeping a deceased (who knows how it died) dragon in my house with all my other dragons. Not to mention my dog. I was not told the age besides over a text message AFTER i recieved them telling me they were 5 weeks, although other breeders have said anywhere from hatchling to 2 weeks. The dragons are all going to the vet as soon as my husband gets home to be sure that everyone is in actual good health. The three dragons I recieved are smaller than what is in Brenda's pictures and look nothing like those pictured as you can see. I have no reason to Lie nor do I condone it. As for you being pregnant, I'm soooo sorry Brenda, It must be nice to be pregnant, I'll never know i can't have kids, I've had nothing but 7 miscarriages so why dont you cut the crap and leave personal crap out of business! I have sent you e-mails to your bnc address located on your webpage. Here is a copy of that message:

I talked to Cameron on the 22nd and was told Brenda was planning to ship this date and That they were sorry for not shipping them sooner but they wanted to make sure they were all in good health. Unfortunantly, I did this via Phone, from now on I will strictly be sticking to doing business through e-mail so I have evidence. However, I never recieved a reply to this nor to my text message of a dead dragon that I sent. I was sending these texts to the phone # (818) 577-7367. Usually when you do business with someone and your phone stops working, don't you usually find another way to contact them? You had my e-mail and my phone number, why was I not Contacted? Why did I have to constantly call and harrass your people about my shipment?
Sorry everyone that this has turned into a he said she said thing, I should have dealt strictly on e-mail, I will keep this in mind for the future. My reason for posting this BOI was to let people know of the shady service I recieved from Dragons and Tails. I have dealt with 5 other breeders in the past month, and these are the only ones I had a problem with. I also contacted John at Breeders Circle and Cheryl at RioReptiles to get help to try and get these dragons back on their feet. I'm not asking anything back in return, because I won't be sending these dragons back now, I've put way to much work and manhours into it for that and these little ones have struck me in the heart.

As for the box, yes there was two small heater packs in there however i dont have the pictures of that, so I guess that will have to be left at that. I will be sure to take more pictures of my shipments in as well.

And yes you dont have the pictures of it because guess what!! THERE WERENT TWO HEAT PACKS IN THERE! There werent ANY heat packs in that box, i remember specifically packaging them up, there were NO heat packs. Thats a bunch of bs. What exactly do you want? To vent your little complaints and whine out a bunch of bs? Your not returning them, your lying about a bunch of crap because what?? You want sympathy? Your a rediculous person you should just stop talking now. whatever you have to reply you might as well not waste your breath because you wont phase me. This is obsurd.

I dont care you dont go and post it on a forum where all it is is negative output about me. What are you talking about, my website is working? Man your delusional or some crap. Obviously my websites working. My CAMERAS not working. go on my website or ads, have you seen any new pictures? NO. get over it already god.

I THINK THOSE BABIES WERE TO YOUNG TO BE SHIPPED PERIOD. :(
I will not sell my dragons until they are 2 1/2 inches from nose to vent. This puts then around 2 months old. They are well started then.
