    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

This is about Nick Nistico "Dark forest reptiles" now known as "Precison reptile labs" Nick Nistico...Who is he?...I'll tell u!He is a backstabber, a-hole and an idiot. I used to work for Nick for about 8 months and started workin for rats and when it got to the summer he agreed to pay me for 3 days a week and 8 hours a day throughout the summer...he never was at the shop to even pay me and would never answer his calls ad his texts..some jerk right. alright...he finally got home from wherever he was hiding and all I got for the whole summer is $100...Wow. for 33 days of work and 8 hours per each day of my devotion to "DFR" and workin my A*S off for him. Thats all I got. So when the store finally closed down Nick Sorta layed low for a while and left for a bit..Kinda disappearing..Anyway, I finally contacted him and told him he needs to pay me. ever since then he has been sending me dirty messages and not paying me..so now we are suing him and a lawyer said that he owes me $1800 and now we are still in the process of suing him as I write this to you.. For those of you who want to buy something from him....Please do not fall in to the same trap that I did and stay away from this Thing (NICK) he doesnt even treat his animals good and he thinks he is above you and has no respect for his customers and employees.. so please WARNING... Nick Nistico "Precision Reptile labs"

Seeing as you're new and young, let me give you a hand.

First off, please post any concrete proof you have of your relationship and dealings with Nick. Post dates, e-mails (including headings), and any contract(s) you may have had with him in writing (however doubtful that is).

Secondly, please try to be as clear and concise as possible in your posting. Long winded posts with little puncuation are somewhat problematic to read, and lose their effectiveness. Sorry to hear you got beat, but take your time and post any evidence you have, and good luck!

BTW...it's not that we doubt you (given Nick's rep), it's just the way things are done here.
 
Thirdly, don't start a new thread on someone when one is already existing and was clearly on the first page of the BOI.. wasn't even like you had to go searching for it.

Why would you laugh at the kid? He did his job and he's owed money. Of course he's a mess about this - $1800 is a lot of money for a child his age.

I just don't understand why you would be antagonizing the kid by laughing at him. But then I remember that you've always been this kind of a putz.

ahhh isnt even a word but if it was it should have been capitalized being that it was the beginning of your sentence. your? it's you're, please dont speak to someone about kindergarten talk when your spelling is that of a kindergartner also. do you even know the correct definitions of the 2?

May I suggest that the Florida Department of Labor, I believe it is called the Agency for Workforce Innovation down there, is where any action to recover funds should begin. By hiring a lawyer all you are, or would be, doing is spending more than you'll get.
If indeed you do have a case the government already has the mechanisms in place to handle complaints like yours.
 
If you are 15, you may have an issue with labor laws, and income tax laws, depending on whether he was paying you under the table(when he was paying you). What was the agreed upon amount to be paid? Hourly? Wages? Rats?
There's no information here, and no proof offered yet, so it's difficult. How did you come up with the amount owed? Did you have a agreement in writing?
Just a bit of information is needed for proof.

I was thinking the same thing. It would be a shame to go through all the time and trouble to sue and end up even more in the hole than where you started.

Maybe someone who knows Nick could mediate between the two of them? At least try to find out Nick's side of the story. Right now all we have is one person claiming another owes them money, nothing more.

I know it must be frustrating Joshua, but you know how it goes; innocent until proven guilty. The burden of proof is on the you. Nick may have a less than stellar reputation in some peoples eyes, but each accusation must be judged objectively, and without bias. All you've done so far is call him a liar, and other names. He could come on and say you were volunteering to get experience, or he already paid you. You need to give us reasons to believe what you are saying. Avoiding the name calling and ranting would really help your case.

nick claims that i never walked into his shop and never worked their before. hes trying to hide from the truth. He pays his employees 300 a week and 400 for manager so we took it up with a labor board member and he came up with that the least he owes me is 1800 minimum wage. for those of u who are fighting now and exchanging words please stop and if u dont believe that this is true about nick then dont bother posting a reply and for those of u who are trying to help and give me advice then thank you..very much appreciated
