    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Laura I did not insist that Richard is a good guy, or that Paul is making this up. I simply stated that my dealings with Richard were good. For all I know he could be terrible with everyone else and was just good with me, but I haven't heard anything like that, nor have any reason to believe that.

I'm not defending what Richard may or may not have done here. Just mentioned the origin of some of the animals in question.

As far as I can see, nothing has been proven here.. simply one short communication posted, after the fact, and nothing about the transaction as it was happening. Isn't the saying, "Innocent until proven guilty?"

Seems to be the opposite here.. anyone i'm out, i've said what I know and have no reason to stay involved with this. Thanks

The saying may be innocent until proven guilty, but its just a saying. The reality is, you're guilty until proven innocent. I find it very telling that this Richard guy wont come here and tell his side. He just stopped by and said 'you twisted the story sooo much". How are we to know whether the OP twisted it or not if this guy wont tell his side? IMO, he's :shootfoot.
 
I'm sure he will reply when he thinks he has found a pinhole in my story or a way to twist it himself like I see happen in these threads all the time. Hence my opening line in my original post.

Simple YES or NO questions will resolve this thread.

1. Richard do you owe me something in trade equal to the value of the Tiger ball python or 850 dollars?

2. Did I give you over 2 months to make good on the trade?
(Actually more like three now im looking at the calender)

3. Did you give me something to complete the trade?


The rest of the details are really unimportant! Doesnt matter what he said or what was traded. These three questions are simple as yes or no. So please answer them Richard?

As far as Joe playing a character witness for him. Im sure he has had some good dealings. I liked the guy at first thats why I chose to deal with him but these are the dealings I HAVE HAD WITH RICHARD. P.E.R.I.O.D.
 
I dont owe an explanation to anyone who has commented on this thread take it for what it is . I dont need to explain myself i know what happened . I can offer a resolve but your not getting anything at wholesale . you know my number and i have never not answered a call from you . i wont go back and forth . Also because you find an animal on fauna or king snake doesnt mean everyone has to go by that price no loop holes dont need any . take it or leave it
 
I am sorry. You may not owe us any explanation however I would think if you are truly inesent and did what you could then I would recommend an explanation for yourself. For your future customers so that they can make a decision whether to do business with you or not. I am sure that future customer don't want to see issues go unresolved with no explanation. A bad BOI is there forever but how you handle it speaks volumes. And I am sorry without explaining your side of the story does lead my to believe that you do acknowledge that the issue does lay with you and not the OP.
 
That's ok Richard. I don't want anything from you like I said we are done with the exception of the genetic guarantee on these "sentinels" of yours I kept! You proved yourself by refusing to answer three simple questions. Mission accomplished! You admitted you owe me and I have your number and can offer a resolve. But your time frame expired! How does that foot taste? I think that raps that up! How long do you need to provide me with the paperwork on these snakes? How about I give you a month and then ill come back and post about that too if you don't comply?
 
If anyone wants to buy that Richard does not know what a Tiger is that is fine. However, does anyone really believe he does not know what a pastel is ?

Even with zero knowledge of Tigers he stills knows what a pastel is.
 
I appreciate the pm's I have got from people about their dealings with Richard. I would suggest posting it here also so people will know about these other incidents but as I promised I will keep any discussions from these messages private. Also I will post an update as to wether I receive those genetics guarantees in the next month.

Just an update on my bad dealings and with richard...:icon_bs:

After all unfolded here I sent an email a couple of weeks ago requesting the genetic guarantee on the pair of sentinels I got in trade from him and also on the pair I kept that he put up for collateral on this deal he never made good on. I even offered to make the the photo ID cards for him if he would just send photos of the adults, and I would return them for him to sign and date. But of course I have not heard anything back from him! Just a heads up to ALL that have bought or traded for these "SENTINELS" I suggest you demand a guarantee on them and also I personally would like to know where he obtained his breeder/s and if he even has proof they are real. I think we are all going to find out Richard is selling fakes! Just wanted to illustrate in the quote above he said he would offer a resolve and never ignored communication but guess what?... another LIE! :throwup02
