    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

He posted the add in the quotes above.
He included a couple of pics.
I replied to his add and asked for a pic of the enchi.
He replied to me in a PM that he can only text or e-mail them to me.
I replied to his PM by posting on his add that I only buy when pics are posted publicly. Then I said Thank you, maybe next time.
He PMs me all upset saying I disrespected him and that he can't post pictures because his camera is with his brother in afghanistan.

Then I replied to him wondering how he can put pictures up if his camera is truly in afghanistan... I also said some other things. And now he deletes his ad.

So I am wondering who this guy is. Anyone out there besides one or two people have dealings with him? Any feedback?
 
Below are his PMs to me.
I replied to the first two by attaching it to his ad.
But he deleted the ad.
Perhaps the admin can undelete it if they see fit.
I can't believe all this is happening because I asked for 1(ONE) picture.

It is interesting that he can attach pictures of a couple snakes. He can have other ads with pictures. But yet his camera is in afghanistan so he can't send me a picture of his enchi. Truly puzzling.
 
Because they were pictures that were already on my computer man come on seriously? What did I do to you ? If you don't want to buy snakes from me don't? But don't do this when you aren't even a customer and have no idea what I am about.
 
And why are you so upset that I can't post it publically? I offered you multiple ways to receive your pictures. I dont deserve this crap when you won't even contact me personally. Won't reply to pm's, won't call me, won't email me. What is your problem. I have tried working it out with you
 
I'm honestly not sure this thread needed to be posted. I can definitely understand not buying a snake without a picture....too many people scam by stealing pictures off the internet of snakes they do not have....but I'm not sure why it's important how the picture is received or whether or not it is public? Perhaps Ritchie is concerned because he would like the picture public in case someone else recognized it? Saying you can take fresh pictures, but then when asked for them saying you can't because you no longer have a camera is a bit fishy, Zachary.

If the pictures are on your computer already, why don't you post them to this thread? That way they are public and it solves the whole problem.
 
i told him i would take them on my phone and send them to his i have no way to connect my phone to the computer. i am sorry. i offered to take fresh pictures or any picture he wanted i just dont have a way to put them on the computer at this moment maybe i can find a way in the next few days.
 
Do you have internet capability on your phone? If so, you can just email the pictures to yourself, then open your email on your computer and save them, then post them here.

If not, I'm sure someone can help you out if you text them pictures.

i totally agree and i would never tell someone to or expect them to buy a snake without seeing it first. and you can ask anybody i have sold snakes too i dont do this for the money i do it for the love of reptiles. unfortunately i dont do much business online i sell mostly locally but every now and then i dont mind and ive never had a problem until now. i mean dang im sending bob clark a pair of butters this afternoon. i sent him pictures to his phone? he cooperated with me it wasnt a problem.. why are you making a big deal out of this pal?

that would be great and im totally willing to do that i dont have a problem with that i just hate for this guy to throw my name in the mud when ive offered every way i can think of to get him his pictures.. i mean come on.. if i had been like no you cant have pictures then fine i understand that not a problem but i didnt do that.

I replied to your pm AGAIN, by attaching it to your ad (you conveniently deleted the ad)

And now here we are. You sitting there saying I do not reply to you blah blah blah. Bring the ad back up for people to see. Quit trying to make yourself sound like a victim.
You jumped off the deep end and I still can't figure out why. I guess I am lucky that I asked for a pic online.

i am the victim here...i did nothing wrong. i tried to get you your picture MULTIPLE WAYS. other people have been fine with getting pictures on their phone. what makes you so special buddy? and yeah i deleted the ad. i dont want all your spam posts on my ads. i sent you a PM for a reason. because i dont want my ads filled with all your nonsense. im going to repost the ad when im sure your not just going to start posting on it again. still waiting on that phone call by the way..

Your customers can still respond if they want and tell how excellent their customer service was. I will buy my enchi elsewhere.
