I'm talking about "head hunters" or job placement professionals, whatever...I am working a job right now that I got myself, and in fact all of my jobs have been found by myself. Well I have over eight years experience and the skills as a graphic designer and production artist in screen printing, and thought that well I'll see if so and so management could find me a better job in my field. I won't have to search and since they focus on screen printing, why not. Phtt..If they actually did anything. I'm really disliking the company I'm working at, unfortunately this time of year is slow in screen printing and hiring is few and far between. I contacted on Wednesday, by phone the "head hunter" at the placement company about any possibilities. (of course he is always out of the office..yeah
) Anyway I recieve an email on Thursday saying he had a possibility and would let me know Friday. Well today is Monday and I have heard nothing. I tried to call and of course he's
out of the office! You have to understand I do not call them very often, but thought to recently to remind them I was looking and to forward my updated resume. And I am always professional and courteous on the phone, email, etc.. However the way I see this is, instead of just letting me know that there are no jobs and try later, no he would rather lie to me and drag me along on a wild goose chase. Screw that!!
Sorry for the rant...I just hate being lied to, and given a slight sliver of hope that really isn't there. Has anyone else had a job hunter, waste of timer, lying sack of
, get them a job?
Oh Well...Back to looking the tried and true way....
