Evolution is something that has always amazed me. Especially the evolution of venomous snakes, I have always considered them the pinnacle of predators with the most evolved biotoxins of the animal kingdom. However, the link below made me ask the question "which came first, the venom or the muscles?" I had always assumed the constrictors and colubrids came first then evolved into the hots we see today. I'd like to see what you guys think about this topic, I am working towards a graduate degree in Zoology specifically focusing on the evolution and venom components of venomous snakes and absolutely love talking about evolution, so lets discuss!
