    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

I keep seeing 'Mack Siblings' for sale. Are these just Geckos where one in the clutch was a snow and one wasn't.

If this is so, then I fail to see the point of buying one of these. There must be more to it.

It's because of the Pastels and other things that have popped out of this line that there is a market for sibs. I was a strong believer in Mack Pastels, but I'm not so sure now. Alex Hue says 50-60% Pastels hatch from MP x MP breedings, but if it's dominant 100% should be Mack Pastels. Time will tell I suppose.

The Mack Pastels are a little hard to differentiate between the normals. I have 2 males for sale here like that. The thing is I dont want to guarantee the genetics on them as "Pastels" because more than likely Ill sell them a normal, or they will choose that one. LOL (would be just my luck one is normal)

I dont really know that much about them, maybe they are both Pastels it is really hard to tell. Im just not interested in a Pastel project myself, so I am just trying to move them out of here. Here they are. These two came from a BOLD Jungle/Stripe X Mack Snow breeding, they are very attractive. But noone has really showed a whole lot of interest. :shrug01:

I keep seeing these as well, would they bet mack hets? Or just normals or pastels? What would happen if you bred to a mack or to another mack sibling?

MP X MP should turn up all MPs...... But how do you figure an MP X WT cross should produce 100% mack pastels??? Wild types are dominant as well....

I figured since Super Snow x WT produces all Mack Snows then the Mack Pastel.... Ahhhhh! Duh my bad there's no co-dom form of Mack Pastel. Boy did I goof up... Thanks for pointing out my mistake. I feel pretty stupid now.

groovy geckos-have you hatched out any female mack siblings? I just checked alex hues page and they confirmed the pastels. So I guess that's another new morph to work with.

WOW-that is very interesting since i have arranged to take them off Dans hands
I have been looking for a light colored male to breed to Prima (my first hatchling) eventually and when i saw those 2 I knew that was what i had been looking for and i love the light colored Leos so i arranged to buy both of them
Whatever they turn out to be- i think that Prima paired with them will make some very pretty babies
Yeah-
I'm excited
Thanks so much Dan
:D

LOL- I meant Prima paired with one of them
I am not a morning person :(
I also have her mother and she has the same coloration as her daughter so that would be an option for the other male too
:D

Marlo, unfortunately the only females(if there were any) I sold while they were young. Then of course the only ones I had left turned out to be males even being temp-sexed. LOL I really wasnt that interested in working with them, I just like the Super Snows.

Sandy, Im glad, I think youll like them. Thanks!

Dan
