My interest changed about a year ago towards a preference for snakes. I have limited time and especially limited space. I have juvenile snakes coming up that will need larger enclosures soon. I want to allot the limited space to them as I plan on breeding next spring.
I have had him since he was a squat, plump hatchling 03.29.04
Came in weighing 29 grams
Weighs 1.3 KG today. 14" SVL His tail is intact.
Aggressive appetite.
I feed mice, quail chicks, dog/cat food, raw beef/lamb.
Fed dusted insects when small. I use Parazap.
Has been wormed with Panacur and Flagyl.
UVB: originally via florescent bulbs. Mercury Vapor for the past 3 months. Unfiltered sunlight for portions of some days in the summer.
Temperament: insecure. Hisses and tries to escape. Not inclined to lunge and bite. Needs handling to calm him down. He has been on a harness--always whenever outside.
