    =====================

I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

I think it is rare when you get more then you pay for when buying over the internet.  With Rodent Pro I got just that!  I origionaly ordered weaned mice and weaned rats. After I placed this order I noticed that he had small rats on his weekly specials for cheaper then his weaned rats.  I emailed and called him my desire to change the weaned rats order to small rats after I completed the orgional order online.  Kevin responded and said he would gladly make the change.  I got the order in the mail and when I opened it up I closely inspected the contents to find it still frozen and in great condition.  What was even better was on top of sending me small rats instead of weaned rats he upgraded my weaned mice to full size mice because he just listed them on his weekly specials that week I got the order in the mail!   What a great surprise!  On top of low prices and fast and great service I got more then I origionally ordered!!  Now I am going to buy all my frozen feeder animals from Kevin and rodentpro.com rather then produce them on my own.  Just wanted to share my experience.

My Freezer contains no other rodents but RodentPro.com Rodents.

They are a cool company to deal with.

I highly recommend them

I agree completely rodent pro is the best feeder supply company I have ever dealt with.

I raise my own mice, I'll be darned if the ones I bought from Rodent Pro  (pinkies & fuzzies) don't look fatter than th eones I raise!  Gotta love Rodent Pro.

I to must commend Kevin and Rodentpro.com for their outstanding service.  I have purchased feeders from a myriad of other sources, needless to say, Rodentpro has provided the best service that I have experienced.   I will definately continue to do business with them.

Kevin and Kelli Are Awesome!  I have never had anything but good experience buying Great Rats from them.  That makes them Good Guys!

I ordered from RodentPro for the first time about a 2 weeks ago and could not have been happier with the results!  Awesome service, awesome product, good prices, and delivery a day earlier than he promised (I probably just got lucky on that one but I'm giving him the credit anyway).  I can't think of a reason why I would order from anyone else.

Nothing to add, RodentPro is GREAT as all have said, I have made the switch to F/T and RodentPro gets my orders!
They sent me my order and then I remembered I hadn't paypaled the funds... Unbelievable, the rats arrived on a phone call! What faith, I settled up right away and will be calling agian. Received my first order from RodentPro this past Friday. Rats were well packed, arrived fully frozen and were just as represented. They'll certainly have my repeat orders! <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Here is my complete Review
RodentPro.com. I am not quite sure how long this company has been around. But from the looks of how they do business, I can guarantee they will be around for a mighty long time. The website: Their website is very proffesional. Not cluttered with useless junk. And the online ordering is useful for people who prefer to place their orders onine.

The attitude: The first time I deal with a company, I like to hear another voice on the end of the line..So I called up Kevin at Rodent pro. he was very courtieous and proffesional.

The shipping and Packaging: The animals came two days after I ordered it. They were insulated in a box with dry ice. They were very well packed and still frozen. The feeder animals came in Heavy Duty Zip Lock plastic bags.

The animals: These were clean and not smelly like some orders I have received from other companies. These are very well represented in terms of size. They have mice, rats, chicks , quail and rabbits available.

The Recommendation: This company is recommended by other prestigious businesses like Bob Clark Reptiles. And Now they are recommended by RitchieReptiles.

In shipping I give them a 10
In animal sizing I give them a 10
In cleanliness I give them a 10
In pricing I give them a 10
In courtesy and professionalism I give them a 10
In Choices of feeder animals I give them a 10
In packaging I give them a 9

**Note. the reason I gave them a nine in packaging is because the feeders were not Vacuum packed. I reserve the 10 for vacuum packed animals. Other than that little issue which is really a none issue with me... I would have given them the whole 10

I just received my second order from RodentPro & I can't say enough about the size & quality of the rodents & great delivery.

After going with a different rodent company for a while and having nothing but troubles I was reluctant to shop over the internet for feeders ever again.  But I gave Rodent Pro a try (I liked the set up of the website and their pics and prices).  I can honestly say that I think they are one of the best feeder companies out there.  Excellent customer service and products!

I just received my second order from RodentPro. I am very happy with the order. I was hesitant to order again, the first time I ordered 100 pinkies as that was listed on the website as the minimum choice that I could make. I was very happy with the original order, however I could not use 100 pinkies this time, as I only have 3 babies who currently eat pinkies. I sold 50 of the pinkies from the original order to my friend, but this time she does not need any. So I was happy to read somewhere on the BOI that there is actually no minimum order. I emailed Kevin and asked about custom ordering and he told me no problem, just to call in the order instead of ordering over the internet. I received my order this morning, which is one day earlier than he said it would arrive. The mice were nicely packed with lots of dry ice and still totally frozen.

Rodent Pro is excellent. The difference between a supplier and an excellent supplier is how they handle the odd orders. I had some rodents ordered through a local supplier and kept getting the old they will be here tomorrow run around for 2 weeks at which time I was totally out of feeders. I called Kevin at Rodent Pro and explained my situation. Although it wasn't his fault he went out of his way to assist me and shipped my rodents immediately. He didn't charge any sort of rush order charge (which I would have been happy to pay). Now I order all my rodents through them and have never had a problem.
No worries with Rodent Pro!

Respectfully,

I have to definitely agree with what everyone has said regarding Rodentpro. Kevin has always taken care of my internet orders promptly and answered my questions quickly and professionally. I am actually counting what's in my freezer right now and it looks like it's time to place another order with them.

The rodents have always come in frozen solid and packed with TONS of insulation and plenty of dry ice.

The rodents always look healthy and fat, and always the same size and sometimes larger than the size examples on the website. The rodents also aren't all purple and discolored like some other companies I've gotten frozen feeders through.

The ONLY thing I wish they would do differently is vacuum pack everything. All the pinkies I've ordered are vacuum sealed, but the larger stuff isn't. They are still packed great, but that vacuum packaging would be an added bonus:)

Bottom line, though, Rodentpro...EXCELLENT!!!

I agree with what Rob said above. I too wish vacuum packaging was an option for the larger rodents. However, the price, service, and quality is better than any other supplier I have tried, and I am willing to "suffer" the non-vac packs! ;)

I have been doing business with rodentpro since I received a gift certificate from a friend at Christmas 2001. They're very professional and courteous. Everything is as it is represented. The shipping is tops...the rodents are still frozen solid when they arrive. I have recommended them to several people. I just placed an order with them Monday afternoon. The ship date of 3/4 was given to me with the rodents arriving by 3/6. I won't be surprised to get home tonight and find them on my porch, though.:)

...so far I actually prefer them NOT vacuum packed...that way they are in ziplocks and I don't have to put them in one of my ziplocks when I open the vacuum pack.

unless, of course, they could come vacuum packed already in a ziplock??

first off, i should mention that i'm engineer, and as such, i have a positive fetish for efficency. smooth, high precision systems practically make me salivate.

Rodentpro hit that efficenciey button big time. WOW. I ordered from them, and they said it would ship on the 4th for delivery on the 6th. it shipped on the 4th, and arrived on the 6th, exactly as they said it would. My order was fulfilled with rats and mice of exceptional health, as much of an oxymoron as calling a dead animal 'healthy' is.

if you're reading this, Rodentpro, aside from the great rats, you have a truly marvelous, smoothly operating system there. Fully expect my repeat business once my animals have porked their way through this batch.

Wow! I am suprised. I must be the only person that was disappointed with them. Honestly I only ordered from them once, and service was good. But I am much happier with my old supplier. I ordered from RodentPro to try them out since thier prices are so great.
I have many snakes and need many adult feeders. I am used to getting 25 neat little vacuumed sealed adults on a styro meat tray. I can stack these trays and fit a ton in my freezer. With the non vacuum packed rodent pro, there was hardly enough room to fit my order in the freezer. Freezer space is at a premium around here and it was disappointing.
I also found a lot of excrement in with the mice and even a wood shaving. The mice themselves reek of mouse urine. I don't know if this is normal but the mice I get from my other supplier (The Mouse Factory) never smell this way. I guess for some people who have picky feeders that maybe a good thing, but not for me.
I was suprised when I ordered on line that it told me it would be about a week before it could be shipped, never had to wait more than two days before.
My other gripe is that the mice are all contorted and shaped wierd. Some are flat, some have thier head frozen to thier rear, and just about every position you can think of. This makes it difficult to determine the size of the mouse before defrosting it.
Bottom line, I did get what I paid for so I am not trying to slam RodentPro, however, if a couple bucks more will get me clean, straight, neatly packed mice usually the day after I order....I would definately rather pay the extra money.
I guess I am spoiled by the Mouse Factory. :)
