    =====================

I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

Hi all,
I wanted to post this "good guy" post about rodent pro but I want to tell you why and not just say great service and all that stuff.

I had hear good things about them so one day I was in a hurry to go off to work and I needed rodents so I called rodent pro.

I didn't have time to order on the website or go thru a long ordering process. I called their number, left a message with what I wanted, my credit card info, my adress.

A few days later I get my package....
Very proffesional! The rodents were excellent, and what I mean by that is they were clean, no feces or shavings on them, they were fat and of good size.
The packing was excellent, I knew I was dealing with pro when it arrived. They have a pre-printed shipping box with frozen meat please rush printed on it, which I thought was a really nice touch. Some people may not understand this part, but they had good heavy quality bags that the rodents were in, not the thin flimsy kind. They also used those heavy duty staples to close up the box which I appreciate so I didn't have to try and open a box that was all taped up.
The box was very well insulated and the rodents were all still frozen even though it's in the 90's here in Texas.
I have purchased from several of the bigger named rodent suppliers and I am a super demanding customer...lol
rodent-pro will now have my business for sure, they exceeded my expectations of quality and service!
Thanks Rodent-Pro!!  I will be calling soon for another order, my snakes have been munchin!
Thanks for reading everyone,
John Staursky

i have to agree.  rodent pro has been nothing but excellent when it comes to a quality product and prompt, courteous service.  the ONLY gripe i have with them is that i wish they packaged their animals like the mouse factory does (which, by the way, is another excellent feeder supply company).  i alternate between the mouse factory and rodent pro but i think in the future, i will stick solely with rodent pro b/c even though their packaging isn't as compact as the mouse factory, you get larger feeder rodents for your money and for that, i'll deal with the extra space taken up in the freezer.

totally agreed john rodentpro.com kix a$$,,,bottomline great shipping, packaging, etc, etc, etc,,,man i ordered jumbo mice and these things are the size of freakin hampsters its great kevin&kelli have gained a loyal client w/me ,,thomas davis T&Sreptile farm, houston, texas <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

On my first order (only about $65 worth) the package was delivered one day late, but still frozen, to my next door neighbor...even though it was addressed correctly.

For whatever reason, my neighbor didn't see the RODENTPRO.COM logo on every side of the box, assumed that they were some steaks he ordered, and he opened it up.  He openly admitted that he about urinated on himself when he saw the rats. lol

He called me and said "Um...did you order....some....some frozen rats?" I said "Oh my God...I'll be over in two seconds."

Luckily, he was cool about it...and proceded to tell me about his brother's "20 foot Boas". lol

I emailed Kelli, and she got my shipping charges refunded.

In short, they made good on it, even though it was NOT their fault.  I definitely will buy from them again.

Just got my first order from rodentpro, and I am very impressed with all of the nice little extras that have already been discussed.  However, another thing that they do right is that they keep in contact with you throughout the order/shipping process.  Kelli emailed me two or three times to let me know the order had been received, when to expect by package, etc.  The communication I got from rodentpro is better than many breeders/brokers offer when shipping high dollar snakes!

I'm sold.  They can count me as a soon-to-be repeat customer!

One of the things I forgot to add in the last thread about them.  I am often times gone when my order arives during the day, with other feeder companies this gave me the added hassle of stoping at the shipping office and picking up my order.   Rodentpro will have the driver leave the package at the door with no problems.  This makes it so much nicer for me, unstead of driving downtown to pick up a package.

I too will agree. I ordered twice now...100 hopper mice, 50 small rats, 30 large rats...All were shipped on time as promised and all were frozen stiff. The order was correct and the price was unbelievable!

I too order from them
Their animals are very well represented.... welp at least the mice, rats and rabbits.  I don't know about the other animals...I have never ordered them.

Communication:  Great

Packing : Great

Shipping: Great

Prices: Great

Animals: Great. (not smelly and dirty like some others I have ordered from)
