    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Can't sing enough praises for Rob. I am a single mom going through some real challenges in life. I have a son that desperately wanted a red dragon and I didn't think that I could give him one. Thanks to Rob and his family, my son's Christmas wish has become very real.
If it wasn't for Rob caring about people and his animals; then Christmas would have been bad for us. My son now glows more than our Christmas tree. Rob not only cares for his animals, he cares for his customers too. Not many people are like that in business any more.
I don't think anyone could deal with a person that cares any more or is more honest. He would never steer you wrong. He has given me good advice and told me pets that I didn't need to have, instead of just taking my money and not worrying about it.
I never dreamed that looking at classifieds would bring me such wonderful luck in life!
Bless Rob and his family!!!

Hey Rob.... I can't WAIT to see how you're going to tell someone as nice as her to use her full name???.... lol

This thread should stay up in any case, cause Rob very rarely gets the credit he deserves, from a REAL customer, no less....

Of course.... if you've ever MET Rob.... you have probably noticed that all he really needs is the white hair and beard, and he's all set to play Santa!!.... lmao

Rob.... you know you're DA MAN!

Rob AND Kim.... Have a great Christmas!!

....Neil

Rob and Kim are some of the nicest people you'll ever get to meet in this business. I have gotten some real incredible animals from them time and time again. Rob always has an answer for any questions and is there when you need a helping hand. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for some great quality chameleons and any other reptiles they may have to offer. Thanks for your time....Mike

OK, call me a wimp........

I deserve it........

I just don't have the heart to delete her post.......:(

Candy,

I am so very glad that I was able to make your son's Christmas wish come true. I really enjoy talking with him and you and am so happy that he is now going to be able to enjoy the Dragon. I really appreciate your kind words and wish you both the Merriest Christmas and the Happiest New Year ever.

p.s. I wrote privately and let her know about the full name rule. She and her son are both wonderful people and I am grateful I have been graced with getting to know them personally.

Okay Guys

I have learned my lesson, thanks for not deleting my post about Rob and Kim. Just a newbie to this. Merry Christmas everyone!

We too just finished a deal with Rob last week. We purchased a tree boa off of him, and let me say we are very pleased! The snake is awesome! Rob was very polite, and infomative through out the whole deal. Thanks again, and we look forward to doing business with you again soon!

Merry Christmas Rob,
Lindsay Haskins

Lindsey,

Thanks. The Amazon you received is a great animal. I am glad you are enjoying him. Thanks again and have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.

I definitely have to agree. I've done some of the same shows as Rob/RK Reptiles, the first being my first as a vendor. I was so anxious at my first show that I didn't meet many people at all. The next show I saw Rob at, I was looking for something specific that I was having trouble finding at all. Rob had exactly what I was looking for, and even remembered me from the first show, without even meeting me there. He gave me a great deal on the 6 lizards I got from him, and all were happy and healthy. Rob's a definite good guy in my book.

:D

Thanks Melissa,

I hope the Day Geckos continue to do good for you and If I remember you said you got some eggs or had a female that was ready to lay. Good luck with them and hopefully you will get alot of babies.
