    =====================

I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

I decided to pick up a couple of Leo's and during my research I came across Reptiles by Mack. They had what I wanted, but the only red flag for me was their shipping was almost half what everyone else was asking.

Absolute pros to deal with. I found what I wanted, placed my order, and it arrived by 10:30 am the next day. I think mine actually arrived just before 10am.

Perfect healthy Mack Snows in insulated (w/heat packs) professional packaging. The leos are doing great and I look forward to doing more business with them.

Highly recommend giving them a shot.

Hi Shane!! Thank you for your order and the awesome feedback. We can't think of a more positive way to start the week off by reading a nice review here on Fauna.

Sincerely,

Reptile by Mack

Thank you John. Now I just have to figure out a way to talk the wife into letting me order more from you guys...lol

Other reptile breeders need to be taking notes from you all over there at Reptiles by Mack.

Agreed!

I bought three baby leos from them a few months ago. They were shipped when promised, arrived well-packaged, were healthy, have grown like weeds since, and have turned out very beautiful with sweet temperaments.

I was in contact with Sandi Thomason afterwards from their customer service department asking questions about leo genetics, and she was wonderful, too. I would not hesitate to order another animal from them. :D

I got my MBK from Reptiles by Mack in June 2013. She's a real beauty and the folks at RBM were GREAT to deal with. I'd highly recommend them.

I bought a Russian Tortoise baby from Reptiles By Mack and they were awesome to deal with. It took my baby a couple of weeks to come out from being buried in her coco fiber but after 2 weeks she was eating like a horse and roaming all around her enclosure and basking. I worried the pants off Sandi at Reptiles By Mack about my little girl not eating but it could have been partly my fault because she is my first Tortoise but not my first Reptile so my heating could have been off. Anyway it was a pleasure dealing with Sandi at Reptiles By Mack. My little girl got a clean health Vet visit. Attttttt Thank you Sandi, We adore Shelly :)

Hi Jennifer!!!! I am glad she is thriving.

Thank you to everyone for your awesome feedback and business. It means so much to us and we look forward to hearing back from all of you.

Kind Regards,

Reptiles by Mack

I too can vouch for John & Amy Mack of Reptiles by Mack. Years ago before they even had an online website I purchased a leopard gecko from them. They are good eggs. I've recently started getting back into Herod and placed an order with them via their website and was contacted by Sandi who was concerned about shipping out the animal due to the recent cold temps. It's obvious their company and employees are about their animals even though they are large scale breeders. Wonderful people who are definitely not in it to make a quick buck and still care about their animals. Thanks John & Amy Mack, you restore my faith in humanity.

I have not ordered from Reptiles by Mack as of yet (will probably change soon) but can say that every time I have had a question it has been answered promptly and as if I'm the only customer at the time.

I received several snakes from Reptiles by Mack, all fat and healthy snakes. I will order from them again.

Ordered from RBM April 2014. Received quick reply back from Sandi when my cc didn't go through. That was at the time of the Target hacking thing, and Wells Fargo had canceled my card. She was super helpful and patient while I found an alternate way to pat since I had to wait for a new cc to be snail mailed to me. She also answered all of my questions within hours of asking. Very cities, professional, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Received 3 incredibly beautiful, healthy leopard geckos that are still doing great. They were shipped in insulated boxes with heat packs, individually labeled. Couldn't recommend this company highly enough and can't imagine buying lg's from anywhere else.

pictures from order with specifics

Picture of order ebay + individually packaged leopard geckos, who arrived warm and in great condition.

I have never purchased from Reptiles by Mack before, however, it is very apparent in their posting here on Fauna and in brief interactions with myself that they take their business very serious and are professional, polite and prompt.

Thumbs up to them:thumbsup:

Some of you may know of my company, we've been a part of this industry for 63 years.

I don't often post on here, but just could not resist throwing in my endorsement for Reptiles by Mack.

I have dealt with quite a few reptile breeders throughout the years, and I cannot think of any that are more professional and more dedicated to our industry than John Mack.

Wish we had more like him.

I'm glad to see these guys are doing good business, I initially thought they were just big time breeders pumping out animals to sell. Sounds like nothing but positive things, I've already recommended them to some friends who are just getting started.

I recently bought a pair of Leachianus from Reptiles by Mack. Every question was answered promptly, the pair was held until temperatures were acceptable, they were professionally packed, and the geckos arrived healthy. I highly recommend them.
