    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I made a deal with Rachel Lasseter for two crested geckos and a gargoyle gecko a couple of weeks ago.

The weather in my area wasn't that great at the time, and Rachel was caring enough to hold my shipment for me until the temperatures were just right. My new geckos arrived Tuesday morning, right on schedule. They are, in real life, just as beautiful as they were shown to be in the photos. They are in great health (well taken care of), and are adapting wonderfully to their new homes.

Folks, I would definitely deal with her in the future.

Rachel has bought animals from me and just shipped a group to me. All transactions have been timely, professional and top-notch. All animals in great condition and packed well. She's a definite Good Guy (Girl). :)
 
I recently purchased a baby gecko from Rachel. I was on a waiting list for a particular pair, and she remembered me each time she had a clutch and emailed me to let me have first pick. Communication was flawless & prompt. She shipped when she said she would, and the baby arrived perfectly packaged and in perfect condition. I would and will definitely buy from Rachel again :)

Purchased 2 geckos from Rachel. Both arrived as agreed upon, perfectly packaged and in excellent health. They were exactly as advertised and her communication was always speedy. She has a great collection of breeders and sells superior animals.

Will buy from her in the future.
 
Purchased a female gecko from Rachel. Very prompt and met me in person (we live in the same city), gecko was healthy and weighed right on. Good communication, she held the gecko I wanted for me for almost a month, and when I offered a deposit she didn't even want one! Gecko looked even better than in the pictures.

I would (and will) buy geckos from her in the future. Two thumbs up!!
 
Rachel is quite possibly one of the most amazing people I have met within the reptile community.
Rachel and I handle business together via breeding loans, sales, and trades. All of which have been successful, fun, and all in all, a rewarding experience. Not only do we business together but we are also very good friends. I know that I can count on Rachel when it comes to being prompt with sales, answering questions, giving me honest feedback, and generally knowing that she is behind what she stands for. She treats her customers in the utmost professional standpoint, and I dont think that anyone could ask for a better person to purchase their stock from.

Here is a photo of a hatchling we had produced together via a breeding loan with Dexter x Gertrude that I had held onto and cherished from this pairing :

I purchased a young crested gecko from Rachel and had a flawless transaction. At the time I purchased the gecko, the weather was too cool on my end to ship, so she held onto her for a few weeks until I was able to receive her. When my temps were good, Rachel accepted a pre-paid packing label from me and shipped immediately. The gecko arrived safe and sound and perfectly packaged!

The gecko itself is very healthy for a young gecko, GORGEOUS!, and was very fairly priced. I cannot wait to do business with Rachel again :) She has a great collection of animals and clearly takes the best care of them.

Just finished an AMAZING trade with Rachel Lasseter of Nautilus Reptiles. The little E. agricolae she sent me is gorgeous, lively and healthy. Rachel was amazing through our entire dealing, with plenty of updates along the way and being patient with our wacky weather here.

Not only do I highly recommend doing business with Rachel, I would absolutely purchase from or trade animals with her again, and I hope that I will get the chance to do so!
 
I've purchased geckos and done a breeder loan with Rachel, and she's great to work with. :)

Her business name is Nautilus Geckos too, BTW.
 
I recently purchased 3 crested geckos through Rachel and previously a uroplatus sikorae. She has always been a pleasure to work with, is quick to answer messages. She packs them with great care and you can tell she takes pride in what she does and I wouldn't hesitate purchasing from her again.
 
Nautilus is great!

I received an amazing gecko from Rachel at nautilus reptiles today. She allowed me to make payments on him and shipping was done promptly and perfectly as soon as the payments were finished. He arrived in great condition and was more beautiful than pictured. Highly recommend getting some of her awesome little geckos if you can!!
