    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

If Dennis is not kidding about giving me free snakes for answering a question in another thread, I'm going to take him up on it. He wanted it done on this forum. Here is his offer:

O.K. first i just want you to know that they were sold to me as a male female pair of adult long term captives
The male has an old scar on his head and is not that mean outside of his cage
The female doesnt seem to have anything wrong with her and is mean wherever she is....lol
They can be finicky eaters at times but have always eaten for me and have never regurged since i got them earlier in the year

I believe that with a little care and patience they may breed if they are male and female with i think they are but havent had the guts to check...lol

I have never sent a snake in the mail before so i will need some help in that department
 
I would also like to add that i bought these particular snakes from the Taylor Mi. show for if memory serves me right $550.00
But i cant remember the guys name for the life of me,I will have to ask my wife when she wakes up in the morning
Oh i think they are Around 5 feet in length give or take a couple of inches

Actually, Dan only "soft" deleted them which is an option a moderator has and they could be restored if needed. But I see no reason to as each one had no bearing whatsoever on this deal.

Anyways, this is not the place for this discussion. You are more than welcome to start a new thread to address this issue in the feedback forum.
 
Just for the record, when I set up this particular forum, the stipulation was that Dan take the helm and run it as he saw fit. He is the boss in this forum and he can do as he pleases to try to keep things in order. I support him 100 percent in however he chooses to run this forum. This is not some sort of aberration in policy, as I have allowed this sort of thing before.

If someone disagrees with the fact that this forum is under the control of someone who may disagree with them, then quite simply stay out of here. This is not the place for you to be. Personally I would prefer that the mod here do his best to keep each of the threads clean of any clutter and distraction.

Actually, I really don't give a rip about some of the personality conflicts that take place on this site. I don't care if someone doesn't like someone. And I really don't care why. If someone feels they have some sort of God given right to pursue someone no matter where they post then I suggest that you step back and review your own motives and perhaps personality disorders that lead you to believe such a thing. While you feel it may be necessary for the preservation of the universe around us, you may want to consider that it is NOT appreciated nor welcomed by the greater majority of people who frequent this site. And there is a very strong likelihood that fines and suspension of all involved parties may be a direct result.

Please take this as the gentle warning it was intended to be and consider the risk you take by continuing on your path.

As for the HELL forum, expect that to just go away shortly. It will just be locked down as read only, and that will be that. So no, no new threads are going to be created there for anyone to utilize as their personal playground.

Well anyway i called DHL and i was on the phone with them for an hour and a half and they insist that i cannot send Snakes through them,Even though i received some from them
I just hate RED TAPE
If Anyone has any suggestions that are RELETIVE to this deal then im all ears?

it's not hard
even you should be able to figure it out
I think you're still seeking attention by even asking when there is more information available on how to ship on this site than you could EVER use.

Just do it and get it over with, don't drag it out for weeks.
 
Its 10/08/05 are there any updates on the transaction????

No, and I don't expect them to be. Dennis has stated that he will not be using this forum. He will conduct his deal privately with Karen. We can only expect to hear from her whenever the ETB are shipped.

Well, it *has* been 2 weeks...plenty of time to investigate all shipping options, and even become certified by Fed Ex if necessary.

However, I'm sure Karen will keep us posted as to the final completion of the deal. Let's not be jumping to conclusions....
 
Believe it or not he emailed me on the 14th and said he is working through red tape with a shipper. Only time will tell.

I wish i wasnt having such a problem with shipping snakes...I dont know how anyone does it
I've never had this much trouble with my frogs and lizards or even the turtles
i knew there was a reason i didnt want to get into snakes....lol

I really got to get a shipper because i will be giving away some other snakes out before winter hits
 
Try searching for a local office.

They accept snakes for shipment.

May not be the best shipper to use (I still prefer Fed Ex), but in a bind, it may work for you. They will email you the waiver.
