    =====================

I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

Here is one that just hatched.

usually from one of my Bell Male, tremper female pairings I get this color hatchling and a gray and black hatchling. It happened the first 2 clutches, this is the third.. We wil see if the other one is grayish or not. I will post pics of the last clutch later. Just an interesting color...

Laid 4/23, hatced 5/26 @ 82 deg... Earlier than I expected; most of the yolk was absorbed though ... Thoughts?

Pairing

What was the pairing that produced this one again?

Bell double het?

So your Bell male is het for Tremper also?

wait i thought it was from 2 double hets...

can you post more pictures? some more of the other offspring and some of the parents?

I'm guessing this is a normal (tang baby) but double het. As far as I know the parents are regular Female Tremper, and a regular Bell male. thats it.

What the?

Thats not an albino hatchling??????? Holy cow if in fact it isn't that has to be one of THE nicest SUPER HYPOS I have ever seen. There is not even one spot of melanin on the entire gecko! Where did your male Bell come from? Sure its not het for Tremper?

My bell male came from the bells. I doubt it is, I dont even think they breed trempers anymore. Who knows... the eyes dont look albino. Think it hatched early so lack of color?

hummm

Well I'm at a loss. Like I said looks like an albino. However if it isn't its one of the nicest SUper Hypos I have personally seen. Should be interesting to see how it turns out. Where did your tremper female come from? I know there are alot of double hets out there! Thanks for sharing Matt. This is going to be interesting.

Very Interesting

It will be nice to see what else hatches out and also its eyes.....
I'd say its an albino, there must be something up that you wheren't told...

hmmm...

Matt, that looks like a Tremper to me. I know that Mark and Kim Bell also have Trempers and some R/W's... is there any possibility there was some kind of mix-up? If not, then you really have an interesting project ahead of you!

Here is the father..

From the bells as a bell. Pink eyes. I think its a bell ;). The tremper IS a tremper, had her for 2 years, gray eyes, common tremper look.

Still thinking.. need a few days to see how it goes with color.

Marcia beat me to the post. I know that the Bells have worked with the other strains. Is it possible to see some pics of the parents. I'm really interested to see them.

Ah! Found an old picture of the mother too. She produced a handful of trempers from a tang tremp male pairing, so she is for sure. My bell male has never been bred to a bell female. He may have some tremper lines in him, the last 2 clutches didnt show any albinos produced, but some were the color close to this one. Just nice orange.

The eyes of the baby arent gray or red.. look normal. Im still convinced this leo is just a little premie maybe?

Man isn't breeding geckos the coolest thing on earth!? It is like the toy in a bag of cracker jacks, you never know what "surprise" lies inside!

Matt, what do the siblings look like? Also can you get an eye shot or just a good look at the new hatchlings eye color? Is it normal or does it have that albino look?

very cool pattern there, can't wait to see how it develops and how the color goes with time

Really cool! Dad definately looks like a bell, and mom looks like a tremper. The baby sure does look albino, an eye pic would be really cool. It makes you wonder if dad is het tremper.

one possibility...

i cant be 100% sure but that baby does look like an albino, most likely a tremper albino. since your first two clutches were one "normal" and one "light gray" (possible albino)...and u got your bell directly from the bells (which have all strains of albinos and produce massive quantities)...it may be possible that your bell albino is in fact HET for tremper so bell albino het tremper x tremper= 50% trempers and 50% normals double het for both tremper/bell...just my thoughts
