    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

Has anyone used these cages? If so, how was the transaction and service? How do they perform? I have a colony of Blood Pythons and may order from him very soon. Thanks for your help. Dustin

I've purchased 3 racks and 3 cages from Jim Sharphorns PVC Cages. This was four separate transactions and couldn't have been happier with the customer service and quality of his products and the price. Every order was shipped rather quickly. Communication with Jim was excellent all my emails were responded the same day i sent them. The first order I placed the glass door arrived cracked. I had a piece of acrylic that I sized to replace the broken glass because I needed to use the cage ASAP. Since I had done this I never told Jim that the glass arrived broken. Four or five months later when I was ordering my rack I brought it up to Jim asking if I could purchase another glass door because the acrylic was warping. Even though I never told Jim about the broken glass when the cages arrived he still replaced the glass free of charge months after I had received them. He is very professional in running his business from the quality of his cages to his customer service. I give Jim an A+ and if you decide to order from him I think you will be more than satisfied.

i bought a rack from Jim I'll never do business with him again Poor customer service also poor quality the rack was sightly uneven I'll rather buy from Animal Plastics and wait 2 MONTHS or any of the big boys (reptile basics,ARS,albanyreptile,ect) right now i currently have 1 from Jim 1 from AP and 1 from Jason's jungle out of the 3 AP is the best all the way I'm buying 4 more CB-70 12 high from whom not sure it won't be Jim Thanks Robert...

Great Product

Jim is well know in the Chondro world because of the quality of his cages and great customer service. Even though I use large breeder racks for my terrestrial snakes I am sure his other cages and racks are just as good as his arboreal cages. You can't beat Jim's cages!!

I had a custom one built for my Boelen's and she loves it. Plan on ordering again from him.

I breed GTP's, and colubrids too. The GTP guys are crazy picky about what they put their very expensive animals in. Many of them can afford whatever cage they want, and they all rave about Jim's products, and his customer service. Go to moreliaviridis forum and ask about Jim, you'll get lots of positive feedback.

I have bought a rack from him I had no problem with Jim or his racks. Good qualilty and goosd customer service.

Thanks for the feed back. I just ordered a stack of 6 of his 3x2x12" cages with pedestal. Not only was his price right but the service thus far has been good too. Before ordering I called the contact # on the site to ask some questions, and his daughter answered. It was his home # ! I was impressed, no machine or wacky hours. He said I should have them in about a week and a half and took the time to answer all my questions also. In the mean time keep the feed back coming and I'll update when I have everything up and running. Thanks, Dustin

Hi Dustin,

I have quite a few of Jim's cages. He has been absolutely awesome. He has built custom sizes for me and everything. One time, I called him because I just got a snake. She is much bigger than I thought she was going to be and didn't have anything for her. I called him on Thursday and the new cage was at my house in less than 1 week. He shipped the cage on Monday!! I have been satisfied with his work.

The cages arrived when they were promised and I couldn't be happier! Everything went together nicely and look great. The directions seemed a little tough at first but after assembling the first cage it was easy. During shipping some screws were lost so I called the # provided in the directions and it was his home # again, Jim answered, he sent the screws the next day. One thing I really like about them is his adjustable vents. Not only is it plenty of ventilation, but you can fine tune for temp and humidity with them as well. I have other of the so called "big name" pvc cages but I'll get Jim's next time. Dustin

Jim Sharphorns Racks

I bought 3 of his racks, I am very happy with them, and will be buying more stuff from him in the future, Brad Lichtenhan

I still like the cages. They helped save me 120$ in electricity this month! I'm glad I bought these.
