I run a very nature related Facebook page and often post pictures of native animals asking if anyone can identify them. This is a way to help educate the public on our native fauna. I am quite amazed at the amount of hate comments we get to any reptile that is posted. This is strictly a learning environment, but people are strongly against even looking at reptiles. It boggles my mind. Just because I don't like something doesn't mean I am completely shut off from it through every venue. Do they expect these animals to come through their computer screens and attack them? Give me a break! I've been seeing more and more of this type of thing all across America (on almost every subject one can form an opinion on). When has tunnel-vision become so prevalent. I'm fairly sure our society is doomed.
