    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I really need to get these!!!

I absolutely positively need to buy some large female ball pythons. I am looking for anything, 1.5yrs and older, and 650ish grams+. I am looking for C.B. mostly, but maybe some farmed, that have been in captivity since their first few sheds. Pictures, and feeding records are very helpful, and they must be absolutely 100% healthy inside and out.

I also have some animals for possible trade
1.1 Leopard Geckos (the male is a bit 24/25grams, the female is 32/33 grams. With some feeding, they should breed sometime over the summer. The female is very reduced, pics available.)
1.1 Corn Snakes (the female was said to be fluorescent, but she has the typical adult corn melanin fading, and the male is just a beautiful normal. I have pics of the male, pics of the female coming next weekend!)

Please let me know what you have, even if its a little smaller than I specified. If you'd like any of the animals I listed, let me know, even if it isnt for a trade. The corns will go only in a trade, or expect to pay premium prices, because I really dont want to see them go.
Thanks for your time,
Mike Fortier

So, tell me something. How in the world can you say they are possibly gravid when you havent seen any action? If thats the case, I have some oceanfront property in Arizona to sell you. Also, it possibly has lots of gold in it because I wore my gold watch there last summer!

This is an interesting statement. If they are around 1000 grams now, and they produced for you last year, what did they weigh then?

Cut it out!~

Hey hey hey. I know everyone has a right to post what they want, when they want, with approval to the rules. We all know our great moderators screen out anything to to out there. But, this is my thread, for ball pythons sales/trades. Not where you guys can all critisize people who are being curteous and letting me know what they have. I myself have heard of females breeding at 800grams.

I hate to get this thread further from the topic at hand, but who was breeding females at 800 grams?

I was planning on posting the very same question as Clay, he just happened to beat me to it.

Breeding of females

I know it is recommended to wait until the females reach 1000 grams, but there are some local breeders, who sell locally, whom none of you would knoe, seeming how I come from a very small "cow town" as you might put it, and, neither of the 2 breeders are registered to kingsnake, fauna, or anything like that. Both have successfully gotten good, healthy babies, from good healthy eggs from 800gram females. That is where I have been stopping in, and trying to convince them to give me some freebie females, though not surprisingly they always seem to say no lol. Go figure

800 gram breedable female?

How told you 1000 grams is recommended for breeding females? Try at least 1500 to start. Breeding a female that weighs 800 grams doesn't seem possible! Have you ever bread balls before? The eggs they lay are huge. The eggs themselfs can weight 75-95 grams each! 800 gram breedable female - BS!

Listen idiot,I dont even know why I feel the need to respond I never said 1000 grams. I said 1000 plus grams, I dont have a scale so I was just letting him know that it was bigger then 1000 grams.It may be 1700,1600,1500 I dont know. My feedback speaks for itself check out reptibid or Kingsnake. Besides they are both sold anyhow but thanks for replying..Rob

idiot?

Why am I a idiot? For questioning you breeding 1000 gram females? Suit yourself. My reply was to Mike about someone breeding 800 gram females - I don't believe it, but nothing personal against anyone. Glad you sold them and good luck to you.
