Here is what happened:
I agreed to trade a female green anaconda for a 1032 gram female ball python. The other party agreed to ship first, and I told them I would ship once I received the ball and inspected her. What I got was a 664 gram male. I immediately e-mailed him and told him the problem. I told him he could either send me a female, send me an agreed upon cash difference (I was going to give him $50 trade value for the ball, which was more than generous), or send me shipping $$ and I would return the male ball. He told me he was sorry for the mix up, but he had bought the ball as a female. He told me to go ahead and keep it. Then he sent me another e-mail stating that if I had anything worth $50 to trade, go ahead and send it and if not, just keep the ball. The next day I get a third e-mail saying the ball was worth at least $90 and he wanted me to either send him something worth the $90, or he wanted the ball shipped back to him. Simple enough. I told him to send me $45 for shipping and I would return the ball to him. Then he proceeds to tell me I am ripping him off for shipping charges. He said it cost $40 to ship him to me. SO I said fine, send me $40 and I will return the ball in the same packaging I got him in, unlined box with 8 hr hand warmer. It has been almost a week since the last e-mail. How long should I wait for the shipping $$? I think a week is more than long enough, but I don't want someone saying I ripped them off. I have no need for another male ball, and I would like to get this whole thing over with. What would you guys do?
